Howard's med school had and has students of all colors. Who ever wrote that was just trying to push the ridiculous reverse discrimination issue.
Ответить😢no neighborhood

Separation of family
Etc. Mission Accomplished…
Except for one thing….
The Fox 🦊and the wolf 🐺
The biggest part of the joke is nothing stops the destructive activity of racist policies in American institutions. I notice that we still have not outlawed hate groups like Kkk while we claim to be none racial.
ОтветитьBlack Americans just aren't mad enough..
ОтветитьI am a Black Republican and I have to agree with her and disagree with the Republican Party.
ОтветитьThe Jews didn't get reparations and restitution because of their race/ethnicity but due to harm. Hannah-Jones is leading Native Black Americans into a burning building with reparations inflamed. Don't listen to the woman! She was paid by elites to create a false narrative that (1) blacks and Africans' history started in 1619 as slaves (2) there were no Amerindian slaves (3) every skinned/ non-European is African. Slavery in America was not exclusively for African people even white Europeans were enslaved too, however dark-skin was the preference for labor
ОтветитьInherent in racism is a power imbalance, discrimination can't happen meaningfully if one group has no power to enforce their sense of superiority onto another group, so "reverse racism" is a ridiculous concept. As a white person, no matter what black people might think of my racial group, it has no bearing on my chances of being accepted to college or my access to a home loan or my ability to rent an apartment or get a job. If I am treated differently, it's not because of my race, but because of my gender or socioeconomic status or some other factor. For most of American history, America has been about "affirmative action" and racial privilege for white people, and during that time it was white people who gathered up most of the wealth, especially the capital. The idea of giving black people civil rights afterwards and forbidding race-based considerations in how to handle the distribution of wealth moving forward is just saying to them "here, you can have these scraps that we don't really want". In a capitalist system it's the ownership of capital that brings wealth and black people were systematically denied access to ownership of capital. To use the race analogy, it's not that now post civil rights reform we are lining everyone up on the starting line together to have the same chances in the race, it's like letting black people start when the white people are already nearly done.
ОтветитьShe took from Yvette Carnell and Attorney Antonio Moore!!!
ОтветитьI wish she could have talked more.
ОтветитьREPARATIONS N0W
ОтветитьIt’s opportunistic morality and gamesmanship…
ОтветитьWhat was the action of the NAACP AT THAT TIME.
ОтветитьWho's sueing them back to reverse it back again, this is when the black associations of leadership such as the NAACP, and Legal class etc sold out to bowle out of any meaningful push back just to become a giant bogey social club ackorening the very seriousness of our situation just like there doing in real time right now,
ОтветитьSome people in America are still just as racist as they were at the end of the Civil War.
ОтветитьWithout reparations to Black citizens the US government is just a pro European descendant mafia. The preamble to the US Constitution lists the goals of the newly created government to perform and it failed. So those it failed horribly are owed reparations for it's failures. Blacks that were slaves didn't even get the opportunity to say if they wanted to be citizens or not. The US government forced itself on them and failed to economically and politically protect them.
ОтветитьJust face the facts alot of these laws set us up for failure! Thank GOD for Jesus! Liberation through him is the only way. Free your mind.
ОтветитьIf I understand what she's talking about (and I probably don't,) with "lineage based affirmative action," I disagree. Basing affirmative action solely on those descended from slaves, totally ignores the systemic racism built into the country--which affects ALL black/brown people. If we really want that color-blind society, we've got to insure everyone has equal opportunity for success.
I myself grew up 'po white trash.' I had a lot of struggles to get out of poverty--but I never had the added anchor of my race, working against me. Until a great majority of those holding the keys to power, wealth, education, success, and inclusion are able to interact with all cultures, genders, races, and lifestyles, with open-minded equality, then affirmative action is needed. It's especially necessary when there are obvious visual cues to someone's differences--as there are with black/brown people.
If we'd achieved our dream of a color-blind country, we'd have people in the higher echelons of government, industry, and wealth, matching the demographics of the country as a whole. We obviously don't. If that's not the effects of systemic racism, (sexism, and bigotry,) then they're expecting us to believe these people are not smart enough, disciplined enough, hard-working enough, or capable enough to reach the top tiers of success. As a woman, that insults me. I can only imagine how it feels to people of color, who have dealt with this for generations.
Black Americans had to create their own colleges and universities because checks notes whyte Americans denied them access in all whyte spaces due to their racism. Now the descendants of these same whyte racist Americans want to check notes again police how a Black created university helps educate their own people since the historical whyte institutions denied them access from the start. How does that work? What an effing farce.
ОтветитьThe " conservative group" has a right to say what they would hope or wish for. This is not newsworthy and a poor substitute for professional journalism combined with commentary from public intellectuals. If this is the "best"MSNBC has to offer, MSM is clearly nearly dead, having lost surrendered its power to educate, inspire, and inform. 😢
ОтветитьFoundational Black American strong reparations now 🪓🪶🏹💯👊🏾
ОтветитьIt has seen and shown over and over that the white folks in power, will not act in any semblance of fairness unless forced to do so. They even have to be forced to treat their own women “right”.
ОтветитьTime to place calls to the Deacons of Defense! Also, there is a difference between "you didn't get in" as opposed to "you didn't get in and no one that looks like you is getting in".
ОтветитьThey claim reverse racism, but NEVER LEAVE IS TF ALONE.
ОтветитьNicole Anna is far from a scholar, she tried to twist the Holy Bible. She blasphemied the word of God. Even tried to call herself the Goddess/goddess of darkness maybe but that's about it. But she does know a lot about witchcraft and how to do spells. Y'all need to be careful in who you believe, the devil comes in many forms.
ОтветитьAll HBCU were started with rich white money, so they will never be free to think and act for themselves!!!!!
ОтветитьSo that it is clear, lineage is the correct and proper approach to making the distinction between a intended dilution of American-ADOS against a lesser amount of Caribbean colonizers from France, England, Belgium and the like who's children emigrate into the US as favored Blacks over the citizens already here(the lineage) fraught with the English names of slave masters of the USA. This is not exact due to the expanse of the sale of slaves among the original colonies and those intertwined with island plantations, it is true that lineage is as important to allow reparations among other european slave trade country's.
ОтветитьWe know our history!
ОтветитьSo talking about movements meant to divide the black community that were implemented 50 years ago, curious how feminism isn't mentioned at all.
ОтветитьThe devil aka MAGA is always busy! They fear being outnumbered by ppl of color and having their power diminished so they are always plotting and planning ways to maintain control and the Supreme Court just-us’s is aiding them!!
ОтветитьIf you didn't build it.Why am I even talking to you about it?
My preference my stuff
Reparations & a Anti-Black hate crime bill is what we need.
ОтветитьAnd this people is how others co-opt our story
ОтветитьU can't stop the tide from coming in ( Black people) go down to the beach & try to stop the water from reaching the shore it's IMPOSSIBLE, UNSTOPPABLE!
ОтветитьThis is why I'm done with the states. Nothing we do is ever enough.
ОтветитьThey know they can’t win on a even playing field
ОтветитьThey are also trying to erase our history
ОтветитьWe aren’t getting any push back on these destructive policies from the Democratic Party
ОтветитьIs our nation’s Vice-President and Howard alum aware of this?
ОтветитьThey keep stealing from us.
We need to let them know there is no such thing as race reversal discrimination when Black people won't share their hard work or allow them to keep stealing from us. Trying to enslave Black People again will not happen.
NO!
🙏 ✝️
In the name of Jesus in Holy Week.
Ms Hannah-Jones has nothing to offer the American working people, only America's wealthy elite to whom she belongs. Unlike King, W.E.B. Du Bois, C.L.R. James, Hubert Harrison, Claude McKay and so many more, and unlike even radical black nationalist figures such as Malcolm X, Hannah-Jones offers not a peep of criticism of American imperialism, which is currently responsible for the genocide being carried out against the Palestinian people.

ОтветитьInvite Dr. Claud Anderson
ОтветитьShe’s completely wrong. Color blindness is the only at forward.
ОтветитьDon't forget the Morrill Acts and their need when land grant institution funding was only given to create white only agriculture colleges (i.e. N.C State).
ОтветитьAlso, conservatives were not happy that Howard accepted her with open arms after she declined tenure and left UNC Chapel Hill
ОтветитьDEI/DEIA was co-opted into a catch all for people who they were not intended for initially. It was supposed to be for descendants of the North American slave trade.
ОтветитьIt is a question of justice. The Rule of Law is the apparent highest law of any sovereignty. Under its cover, "If u build it they will come" becomes a rule of thumb to equate imbalances in society. However, the Rule of Law in most countries defies justice to keep the incumbent in power. As such, the Rule of Law shows it is not the highest power in the land. Race is.
