When Wisconsin won the coin toss, they should have chosen to receive. That way, they could have ensured the wind was at their back in the 4th quarter.

Eddie Faulkner should’ve been contacted for a position. Next, when did we start hyping players for having one good year or glorifying guys who haven’t hit the field and proved anything?
Fickell may not be going anywhere and the same goes for this program, as long as he’s the HC.

I'm from Wisconsin and badger fan. It seems like we have big become way too predictable on offense for the past 4 years. Last good qb we had was russell wilson and before that scott tolzien, but no receiver depth like we have now. Instead of qb thru the transfer portal, how about train our current qbs and get a great OC. Defense needs to play better too even though we had some hot spot this season. Just hoping we don't lose most of our team to the transfer portal. Please get rid of Vakos as kicker. Start Mabrey if we get a bowl game.

Teams fire coaches after one or two seasons all the time and a new coach is hired and immediately turns around the program. It happens more times than you think.

We hung our hat on Locke. Over and over and over I said give it to Mabrey. NO WAY is he any worse than Locke.

Fickell did a great job in tanking Wisconsin's bowl run. Thanks for nothing. Hopefully, he will be gone sooner than later and we can get a head coach that makes better decisions on and off the field. Yeah, this really sucks.

My opinion is this team felt like they could pull it out after Oregon, but when Fickell fired Longo, the team just gave up and threw in the towel

Fickell deserves to be fired. Quite frankly I don’t think but maybe a small portion of the fans like him. Dude just stands on the sideline emotionless exactly like pc. Take off that stupid jacket and quit chewing gum and actually motivate your players.

2023 we all could see the decline in play. 2024 was infinitely worse. Now we say give this clown of a HC more time? The democrat voters are easy to spot.

The all-time series between the two teams is tied 63 to 63 wins. Playing in this new league will be harder for schools like Minnesota and Wisconsin because of the amount of money they can offer incoming players. Ohio States, Michigan, Oregon, UCLA, Penn State, and USC can offer so much more in compensation. Until they even the playing field on compensation, I expect this to happen every year. There will be an Indiana that will have a great season every once in a while but not consistently.

If your coach can't point out the teams improvements then what exactly has he done the past 2 years?. Did not expect a playoff team but at least a competitive one. Badgers stay at the bottom of the conference if Fickell stays.

My Badger buddy of 55 years and I called this season as 5-7 at the beginning of the year. We saw this in the late 60s and early 70s. This is Don Morton level coaching. Looking at next year's schedule I don't see THREE wins. Tell me I'm wrong.

Fickell has 1 last chance but the coordinators have to go! And next year the young talent has to start. Next year Braedyn Locke is not your QB!! Mabrey Mettauer or another incoming Freshmen QB is the way we have to go!

I don't think a new qb will help the offense unless you fix the line or OC position. I watched Neb. & Raiola. That guy has all sorts of time to pass.

During the season, you & others said this team or that was nowhere near as good as us. And yet the badgers were still getting beaten. Outcoached throughout the year.

This team looks more like a Scott Frost Neb. every week. Both Frost & Fickell were very successful in non-Big Ten conferences. Also, remember Frost had a top-ranked qb from the start and couldn't do it. Actually, Neb. has looked a little better lately after replacing their OC three weeks ago.

As an Iowa content creator, I agree you have to see the Fickel hire through. Look at Nebraska, Tennessee a few years ago, Miami, USC who have dropped majority after doing major coaching changes at one point or another

Man, I picked a REAL bad year to quit drinking. But Fickell needs time to turn this around. If we fire coordinators every season, and head coaches every two, we are just the Chicago Bears. The recruiting gives me hope.

Wisconsin thought they had hired the next Nick Saban when they got Fickell. The guy had one good season at Cincinnati and was 6-7 in his only season as HC for Ohio State with a team that was loaded with 4 and 5 star recruits. Wisconsin made a huge mistake thinking they had hired a great coach for someone that had only good season under their belt. You have to have three or more good seasons before you can be considered a good or great coach. This reminds us of Tom Allen at Indiana. He had one really good season there and look what happened to him. Sometimes you can get lucky with just a few really good players like what happened to Allen.

The bowl streak is what it is . We we're terrible this year lots of bad bad football streaks end eventually 22 years is a great accomplishment. We have nowhere to go but up from here so let's see how we improve. Sometimes you have to hit the bottom the get back to the top . Look at Indiana as an example

Also having some time to process. Looking back last 2 years both QBs we had got hurt for an extended period of time . We blame Locke because he's out there doing it. Don't want to burn the red shirt freshman. There is no one else to be the QB. We have had some bad luck and need it to turn around .

Too many Badgers' fans mistakenly believe that Luke Fickell & Co came to Madison to coach a Talent Rich Ohio State, Oregon, Alabama or Georgia Program - all I can say is Wow! The Overhyping of the Wisconsin Program the Coaching Staff Inherited, by the fanbase is hilarious

Even if the win/loss record is not good, you still need to see progress, still need to see development, still need to see toughness, effort, tenacity, and a winning attitude. All of those things seem to be lacking. They look to have regressed as the season went along. In the current nil/transfer system, teams can turn it around quickly, but they can also fall apart quickly. The perception is that the team is getting talented recruits into the program. It all comes back to how well you develop the talent on the roster, how much work is accomplished in practice/class room/film study, and how hard the team plays. Gary Anderson completely altered the recruiting focus, getting away from the power running offrnsive line that was the essence of the program and the team on the field, and it appears that it has not recovered in the two regimes since. Major changes need to happen, now, and Fickel has to get it right in every area.
At least the men's basketball team, women's volleyball program, and both men's and women's hockey programs are headed in a positive direction.

Wisconsin has gone from a Low A Tier Big Ten team in the early 2010s, to a B Tier Big Ten Team in the late 2010s, to now a C Tier Big Ten team.
No more easy wins and empty calories from a horrid Big Ten West.
Wisconsin is clearly behind Oregon, Michigan, Ohio State, Penn State, USC without question. I think they're also clearly behind Iowa, Indiana, Minnesota and Illinois at the moment. Maybe Washington and Nebraska. Heck, you could argue Rutgers!
So by my count, they're maybe the 8th or 9th best program? Either way, they have clearly become a middle tier team with absolutely no shot at competing for 10 wins or a Big Ten title any time soon.
