Favourite Mazzy Star song?
Ответитьai is the worst.
ОтветитьNo mention of The Warm Inventions?
ОтветитьI was captivated by Fade Into You and it's one of my top favorites from the 90s. Hope Sandoval is so beautiful and her voice is amazing. I love Mazzy Star. ❤
ОтветитьFlowers in December.
ОтветитьIt's not tragic. Get yourselves a better thesaurus.
ОтветитьIt's easy to see how the record labels filled the Mazzy Star void with Billie Eilish and her brother.
ОтветитьI love the Guitar score you used for this video
ОтветитьWatching this in 2024 .. just goes to show that all the stories comming out now where very real stories at that.
Beautiful voice and she was a beautiful lady .
You don't have the legion of sadgirl solo artists today without Mazzy Star.
ОтветитьShe got into a fight with someone at the venue and took it out on her fans by walking off the stage after two songs.
Ответитьthanks for video, big kizz from brazil like so much mazzy star
ОтветитьI completely wore out my Rain Parade and Rainy Day records back in the early 80s. Still sounds great today.
ОтветитьSandoval is like the Bjork of shiiiit.
ОтветитьHow is this tragic?
Ответитьblah
ОтветитьHope Sandoval is so beautiful ❤️
ОтветитьIsn't it weird that a song unexpected to go anywhere or become anything, written so quickly, can touch so many people? I swear that song, though Mazzy even explained what it meant, hits me in so many weird, alluring ways to this day. It does some weird sh to my head so I listen to it sparingly.
Ответитьburger king foot lettuce
ОтветитьCancer sucks.
ОтветитьDidn't seem all that tragic...seems like they were able to put out a lot of good music. I mean it is tragic the drummer died though.
ОтветитьThis is a terrific biography of David and Hope. I saw Mazzy Star once at the Hollywood Palladium on Sunset Blvd in November 1994.
Hope was mesmerizing.
Why, "tragic story"? Those captions!
ОтветитьMy boyfriend sent me this song on a playlist while he was alive. He passed almost 5 years ago. We are soulmates, still, even in death. Thanks for sharing this story 💞
ОтветитьWhat’s the tragic element of this story? I mean, the drummer died, but…. WTF?
ОтветитьHer story isn't tragic.
ОтветитьHow dumb to compare them to cowboy junkies. They were way better.
ОтветитьSaw Mazzy Star several times live. They were great
ОтветитьMy favorite besides 'fade into you' is 'five string serenade'❤❤❤ I never knew that wasn't her name😮
ОтветитьCan you tell me what that back ground riff is?
ОтветитьI enjoy dropping eaves as well
ОтветитьWhat a great reprise, and I was so fortunate to attend one f their Sydney Opera House shows - too much was made of the shows bing in the dark - the music, vocals and the atmosphere was amazing - what talents. Their music still grabs my emptions whenever I hear it.
Ответить“Fade Into You” is a near-total copy of “Knockin’ On Heaven’s Door” by Bob Dylan. And people thought it was good…that’s how bad the 90s sucked.
ОтветитьAh yes.
TelePATHy.
Epic pronunciation.
all her magic is in no bra performance))
ОтветитьHi Karri:)🙏🏻
ОтветитьSaw her in Minneapolis years back. She did the entire concert without ever turning lights on. Never saw her face.
ОтветитьWhat is the background song please???
Ответитьthe main singer looks kinda gen z. she looks like she’s seen an iphone
ОтветитьObviously copied Bob Dylan’s Knocking on Heaven’s Door.
ОтветитьMae Zee
Not maaa
I’m a brand new fan of Mazzy Star/ Hope Sandoval after hearing their song Look on Down From The Bridge on Rick and Morty, so still have a huge scope of knowledge to fill on them. I’ve never associated myself with this genre of music before, but Hope has introduced to a new sphere I am grateful to have been exposed to.
It’s crazy because if it wasn’t for my love for Rick and Morty, I would never know about them. It seems as though Mazzy Star, Hope Sandoval primarily, didn’t really market themselves as overtly as many bands/artists alike as you would presume in such industry like that of music. I think it creates a massive disconnect with fans, but even more so for new listeners. That’s not a slight though, more of a compliment than anything; it shows that even in spite of those marketing flaws, they were still critically acclaimed. I’m used to just being able to follow artists/ bands via social media so there’s consistent exposure to their music, tours, albums, and everything affiliated with them. For the very minute sample size I know of Mazzy star following some of my research, it’s absurd to me that they’re not spoken in the same breadth as many groups of the same era. I have started putting together a playlist of the band entire discography, as with Hope’s too on Spotify – however, it would’ve been nice if she was active on social media as it helps to streamline awareness.
Not so tragic. Good carreer
ОтветитьSuper exceptional historical, detailed walkthrough. Thank you!
ОтветитьThe smartest thing Ive herd said about yhe music industry. They HAVE a formula. So this is very interesting in the fact industry's make you play at certain frequency
ОтветитьThe only tragedy here is that I sat through over 10 minutes of droll.
ОтветитьNot very tragic man… misleading af
ОтветитьPLEASE look up how to say telepathy! -Thank you!
