Best Cheap CPU Coolers Benchmarked: Deepcool AK400 Review

So i got a Gygabyte X470 Aorus MOBO, and am baying a Ryzen 7 3700X CPU. Which of these coolers would you recommend (Especially if im not trying to over-clock?) This is my first PC build and i really want to get this right. Im kinda having a ahrd time undrstanding which cooling fans are compatible with my MOBO.

My tower has 3 cooling fans in its front plate.

I really wanted to upgrade from stock amd cooler to a stand up air cooler. I went to best buy and they had one stand up air cooler for 50 bucks. They also had a Thermaltake 120 mm AIO on sale for 60 bucks. I went with the aio, there are probably more things I needed to plug in, but I am very happy I found such a good deal. I'm running at 24 degrees Celsius at idle with a R2600. Cinebench only gets it up to 55 degrees where the stock cooler went up to 92 degrees.

How is this cooler for a 12900k or 7700x

brilliant......i especially love the thermal pressure test as it really shows were the good & bad contact points are,
there is one question i have & that is do all cpu heatsink cooler pipework have fluid inside them ? or is that limited to a particular few ?

Steve, it's great to see you reviewing products like the AK400 -- it's always great to watch a review from you, and especially on the more 'midrange' variations, if I can say so, as not everyone would be looking to build the highest end systems, or the lower end on that matter. Hmmm I can get (and got) Thermalright Assassin King 120 SE in Europe for ~30$. Would be cool if you could test it. Choose it because it has 5HP and is quite small (148mm) and very light. Only 520g. AX120 V2 PLUS weight extra 80%. My mATX case can fit up to 155mm but I wanted some extra spare.
Weirdly in Europe can get Thermalright Assassin X 120 V2 Plus (2xfans) for ~20$. We also have Thermalright Assassin Spirit 120 V2 for ~28$. All prices from amazon

are you ever going to get around to the Thermalright Burst Assassin or Assassin King(I think the BA is more interesting) or Thermalright Silver Soul 135/ID-Cooling SE-207-XT - two really interesting 135mm twin tower coolers. These budget 6-7 heat pipe offerings with great compatibility are really hard to pick between and while I imagine 6-7 heatpipe twin tower will always win against a 6 heatpipe single tower is it really worth 50% more...

Can you please include stock coolers with these comparisons as most people buying one of these coolers will be coming from stock so would like to see the benefit they are getting.

Little confused by the graph it says a Ryzen with stock cooler runs idle at 12.5C? Mine runs 50C at idle. Am I reading the graph wrong or a Ryzen at 12C with a stock cooler a thing?

I actually just snagged the AK400 darkhorse plus a few months ago for $22 bucks on sale on amazon for my 8700k. My nearly 10 year old AIO finally bit the dust so i got this to replace it and honestly running it at stock speeds and stock boost i havent seen it go over 82c unless runninh stress tests itll creep up into the low 90s.

Do these not use thermal paste?

My cousin installed an AK400 for his sleeper PC

Before he ran a 13100 cpu with stock cooler and you can physically feel the surrounding heat from it

Now wirh the AK400, it feels even colder than room temperature and the fan isnt constantly at max rpm during games

got one for 17 dollars for my budget ryzen 5600 build.. absolute steal! white one as bonus for my white build

I would not recommend buying from this company. They do not honor their warranty anymore. Its buy as is. DeepCool is sanctioned by the U.S. Department of the Treasury. DeepCool products can no longer be found at major online retailers in the United States, and surprisingly in Canada as well. The case I purchased few months ago has a defective power button and they refused warranty or sending me a replacement. When I complained about it, Dave from Deepcool said "Can you send us a short video while you try to short the motherboard so we can verify it" Seriously!

I have the AK400 with Ryzen 3500X it's 40 Degree Celsius at idle and 60 degree Celsius at 100% load. How are you getting 9 Degree at idle ? It's seems impossible ?
