ONE/1 moment can change a day.

What would you do if you only had ONE/1 moment left?
Would you cry out to HKBH,
with tears begging that your teshuvah is accepted,
knowing it will be your last opportunity to do so?
Would you show your gratitude to the last person you see or speak to?
Would you beg forgiveness before it's too late?

No one knows when there last minute will be on this earthly plane,
and we have so many choices and chances to do the ratzon of Hashem,
but don't always follow through,
or something or someone could get in the way,
and it is your test to see what you'll do next.

Sometimes we make mistakes,
getting caught or pulled into a situation that didn't intend to,
but when we regret,
have remorse,
stop doing it,
and work to not do so again,
even though it is hard and can be very challenging,
Aveenu She'ba'shamayim will accept our repentance.

What if you had ONE/1 day left?
There's a lot more you could do,
but still would have to "grab it all in,"
and make the most of your time.
I would want to spend it studying Torah, doing mitzvot & chesed,
as much as is humanly possible,
because there is not much time left,
and that is what's most important to me.
Of course, I'd say goodbye to the ones I'm close to in my life, as well.

What about ONE/1 life?
Each one of us has infinite ways that can participate in tikkun ha'olam ---
through tzedakah, tzniut, shmirat Shabbat, kashrut, shmirat lashon, etc,
but if you're caught up in day to day frivolities,
the clock keeps ticking and you haven't accomplished much or anything.
Use each moment wisely,
as once it's gone,
it's in the past and can't be retrieved.
You'll never know if ---
ONE/1 kind word
ONE/1 smile
ONE/1 helping hand
could mean so much to another,
that it causes a ripple effect,
and others are "infected" to do the same.

Every moment of life is a precious gift from The Borei Olam,
so do your absolute best,
and do not "rest on your laurels,"
thinking there is nothing left to do.
If you are still breathing,
and your heart is beating,
you still have something to accomplish.
