Witcher 4? More like Witch 1. Bleh. Not much to say, it’s just a pre-rendered CGI animation. The only thing is the design of Ciri - quite strange when someone is used to her appearance from Witcher 3. I know, she is older but she looks like someone completely different.

All wrong with this trailer, at first thought is was a random Witcher in Skellige, but no, Is Ciri with the most masculin voice ever, and drinking potions?

Looks like CDPR hired the netflix writters for this game.

the question is how far are the ingame graphics from this what we see here. It could be almost this quality in gameplay on a RTX 5090 for sure.

This game is like 84 years away gta vi is just one and yet here we are watching this

I hope for encountering Geralt in that game

🤮🤢 what a tragedy. They made such a good Game Engine and now they are switching to eu5. How much better The witcher IV would look in REDengine. we will never find out... Cyberpunk 2077 is perfect. Short load. Changes graphic settings without waiting for shader loads or restart due to graphics change. EU it gets worse and worse with each new version. I'm curious how many people the company laid off in the REDengine department in total. People they don't need for work on REDengine. Maybe I'm wrong. I'll see in 7-12 years when the game comes out...

Given CDPR, I am expecting them to wokify it; I'm surprised they haven't retconned Ciri to be a different race or given her a massive chin, though she evidently is not as pretty as she was in W3. Perhaps that's DEI/ESG enough to appeal to investors.

The trailer looks good but at the same time makes me skeptical of the story.
Seems like an already "clicheic "women fight patriarchy" type of story.
It has the base tropes:
- girl gets the torch from man
- men make shitty decisions and girl has to fix them
- girl goes against men
- CDPR works with sweet baby inc
If this is the route they are going with Witcher 4, it will go down hard.

Don't get me wrong, Ciri would be a great successor to Geralt and I wouldn't mind her being the protagonist. But I won't support narratives which vilifies men, just for the sake of some shitty missandrists who won't support it themselves.

In english this trailer sounds like a shit . But of course this will be GOTY

I didn’t really like cyberpunk so I’m hoping this is a return to form. Excited to play ciri. Even more excited for the thumbfaces to cry about “modern audiences” with two awesome trailers like this and ND’s. Nothing better than playing a great game that makes thumbfaces melt down as well.

Let’s hope this game has a better launch than cyberpunk.

Wiedźmińskie znaki, eliksiry to już za duże przegięcie. Naprawdę muszą z niej robić wiedzminkę? Mogli by spokojnie Skupić się na jej mocach a nie jechać na sentymencie nie ma geralta to macie eliksiry i znaki. Ciekawe czy tylko jedno zakonczenie z 3 będzie kanoniczne czy z kazdego zrobia wyprowadzenie/wprowadzenie (to z kolei mogło by być ciekawe, kilka różnych prologów i nakreślałao by stosunek ciri do geralta). Nie wiem nie podoba mi się i znajać RED to lepiej bedzie poczekać na GOTY jak już dopieszczą grę. Wczesniej wciemno kupiłbym kolekcjonerkę teraz to nie wiem.

Trailer is awesome, but two things don't really make sense to me:
1) A witcher going in seemingly unprepared to face an unknown monster in their home terrain, losing the duel, and then being saved because they have "magic"/are the main character and happen to be pushed into a waterfall... isn't really characteristic of the Witcher.
2) A witcher going off on and lecturing the common folk about their superstition. Gerald dealt with it with resignation because he'd been around for 100+ years and knew the limitation of peopel who grew up in an isolated poor village. Getting uppity about this sort of stuff as a now-would-be well-traveled veteran witcher is a bit... out of place imo.

So I hope this is just part of making a hollywood-style action-filled trailer and not part of the overall game- and character design

When I first heard Witcher 4 won't be about Geralt, I was sceptical. Now though, knowing we're gonna be playing Ciri fulltime? Damn I'm stoked! I mean we did already play her for a bit in Witcher 3, and she already had a lot of character development. I think this will be amazing!

So we stabbed the girl at the end. Was it the father convicted that the sacrifice had to made, even though ciri had just slain the monster?

Man, it sucks seeing a lot of comment section just saying, "Woke this or woke that" just cause its Ciri, like literally go read the novels and as well replay the witcher series games 1-3. Yes, i know it's sad we won't see geralt anytime soon because his story has come to an end for now, at least. Tbh i was hoping for this direction just sadly its debuting during a time where we are all done with DEI and woke companies related nonsense. As well, keep in mind, in-game, ciri will most likely look like herself. This is just a highly animated trailer if im not mistaken. As well we dont know how much time has passed since the witcher 3 so peoples looks can change.
