I’ll be heading to red river gorge for vacation in 3 weeks. I’m from Michigan we had a very mild winter so that was nice. We fell in love with Kentucky four years ago and have been coming back every spring.

There is a German Cafe up the road here where I live in Pennsylvania. They have head cheese. I never knew what it was, and then my partner told me it's brain.

My grandma would always eat head cheese and pigs feet (never pickled, though)

My father grew up, as a poor, Nebraska farm boy, in the late 1920's, and into the 30's. He loved his pig's feet. Never could understand that. 🐷😓😰😨😫😱🤢🤮

My Dad loved pickled pigs feet. I do remember that strong vinegar smell.
