Another fun fact about EHero Flame Wingman is that it was originally Jadens go to Ace monster before he got Elemental Hero Neos. And has an upgraded version of called Elemental Hero Shining Flare Wingman which uses Elemental Hero Sparkman.- Nostalgia Freak -HS

I think that shining flare wingman was meant to be Jadens ace monster . It shares the shame atk and def as Dark Magician. But like Bastion they changed alot in season two (like the Opening with Bastion and his fire dragon -> he was meant to be import or more important as a side character)

This monster was one of the first reasons I was a fan of the GX series.

Am I the only one who thinks flame wingman is neos brother or got inspired by neos in the card world? Because I can totally see some similarities like the single long horn in the middle of his head, his overall stature and in a since how they pose as well. You know the more I look at flame wingman and neos (in all of his forms.) the more I see batman and superman. Am I the only one?

There's another fact: Flame Wingman is the ONLY Elemental HERO Fusion monster from the original HERO deck Jaden owned that ever talked, as Flame Wingman talked to Jaden when Jaden summoned him to battle against Yubel!Jesse. The other E-HEROs that talked were Flame Wingman's two fusion requirements, and Sparkman, who ironically is the monster that fuses with Flame Wingman to summon Shining Flare Wingman.

fun fact: in jaden's duel with chazz that was interrupted, jaden was cocky because he would've won because his next card was monster reborn. he planned on summoning flame wingman to win but flame wingman can only special summoned by fusion summon.
