As far as a young striker on loan to give Palmer a break, especially when games are coming twice a week, it may be more appealing to loan to Wrexham if Wrexham DOESN'T sign a senior striker who can challenge to supplant Palmer as the starting big forward -- as there will be more playing time available for the young player that has been lent, in that case. So it may well be if the printer does not spin up in the next few days, then a loan deal may be coming next week.

The right flank was exposed in the first half and was successfully exploited. It was weird to see that it was not used in the second half. The switch to the left flank was successfully utilized in the 2nd half. Awesome result. The kick and chase tactics to start the game was rough and amateurish for both sides.

Will take a lot of breaks, yes, but this is a lower level Championship side already, so they could easily win it. But also be lower half of the league, if things start to snowball downhill and we don't get any breaks in the schedule. Each week is going to be a wonderful slog and momentum will be everything this year. We do get a bit of a break from games 7 -10, after a really tough first six, so we should know by Parky's "first 10".

teams get relegated by being flawed and dysfunctional, good teams dont just have a bad run and end up at the bottom of the table, and those flaws arent fixed over a summer, they typically arent fixed by throwing loads of money at it either, typically these issues require a complete rebuild, time and culture shift.

We have really struggled to get a striker in, hopefully one will still come in before the window closes and a decent one at that. Be dissapointing if we dont as i dont think we got enough firepower otherwise, to get a play off/promotion place if we dont bring one in.

I would like 1 more & a striker but I can see the value being too high because on the extra Wrexham price out on the player, so probably no new players until January.

Were stockport a better team than Wrex last year? Points say say so, but we drew even in wins 1-1 and didn't have Mulls or Akonkwo in that first game. The team is even stronger now and I honestly believe stockport will need to rise to the occasion to have a chance against us this time. They might just be going the way of Grimsby last year come mid-season.

Posh fan here. Wrexham were rock solid today, and such teams (E.g. Oxford) win promotions. Despite dominating possession, posh failed to create any clear cut scoring opportunities.

It would be a disaster if they did. Stadium needs to be bigger, academy needs to be larger. Top 10 would be fantastic, but you go up too quick you go right back down and the Championship is insane. Wrexham need to settle, get things lined up then push. I have no doubt they can do it, but we are talking about much more money into the club than currently there. They will need a new partner.
