I love the quality of this video.
ОтветитьXhosas do it when they turn 18 or so. Other cultures do it earlier.
ОтветитьI dont know which SA you live in. K8ds dont speak to their kids anyhow here
ОтветитьAll your culture shocks are negative, so you didn't find any positive culture shocks when you got here? If you guys were raised so well, why are your countries still such a dump and you not doing anything to make them better. You comparing us to your rural lifestyles. Who gets shocked by seeing someone smoking? Just go back to your country and have no culture shocks.
ОтветитьI feel like in regards to the way people responded to you speaking French, it's because us as South Africans prefer using our tribal languages. English is used as a bridge to communicate if people don't understand each others tribal laguages
ОтветитьYou have to unlearn my sister, the way you do things in Congo is not necessary gonna be seen as right everywhere else. I have Congolese friends and they are almost South African now the way they've accepted our way of life, though they're never forced ditch their own
ОтветитьYou are a very silly girl, when did smoking, teen pregnancy and not understanding one's language became a culture?
Silly foreigner.
And how many young people are carrying AK-47s killing your people, you must open your statement by bashing my country.
ОтветитьEvery country have their own culture shocked because u are not familiar with their culture
Ответить1. People from other African countries think migrating is traveling. South Africans do travel.
2. I don't know you, why should I be happy to see you?
3 When did traditional healer became decision makers?
Can you imagine going to DRC and wondering where the South African food is at? 😂😂😂😂. Different environments grow different foods.
ОтветитьIs there a South African in Congo at least to tell us about your country.
ОтветитьNot that we are not happy to see you I think we like you more when you are a tourist but here to stay No we are a little bit tired..Ofcourse others are good pretenders....
ОтветитьYou lived in the wrong part of south africa. You probably lived in town, that is not representative of south Africa.
ОтветитьEvery country has got its own variety of food, based on climatic conditions and preferences. When you move to a new country, there ahould be a ahift in mindset because people are not the same, even in africa. I live in a foreign country and i eat what they eat, I don't expect to find boerewors here.
ОтветитьInteresting reviews... I'm South African and have been taught about history of various parts of Africa and currently staying in NZ where there's a lot of black South African professionals, I also know some in Australia, UK and USA. Depends on the people you come across I guess. There is a lot of culture and traditional belief systems that you still have an opportunity to explore in SA. Enjoy sister and you are definitely welcome in SA ... history says Bantu people in the South came from DRC, East Africa and up North so, we are one...🇿🇦🇨🇩👊🏿
ОтветитьU have to remember that SA is multiracial and multicultural.some cultures circumcise at birth.
ОтветитьCurious question..do you only speak French? And not any lingala, swahili or tshiluba?....thing is in the UK people would respond the same. I've had the same. I'm a British Congolese and the story of colonisation in Africa isn't taught in public schools in the UK and even geography to a fair degree.
ОтветитьThat's why abortions are very high both in central and West Africa... You ladies do countless abortions just so that you can appear innocent and pure... You'd find that a girl under 25 would've done at least 3 abortions just so her parents can keep praising her and calling her a virgin.
ОтветитьWhen you come to a foreign country and get a culture shock, it is indicative that you never really left your country. Why can't you be conscious that you are not in your country, that is the only way to cure culture shock as nobody and nothing will change exclusively for you.
ОтветитьSalut ma soeur, lovely to see you. New subie here ( from my channel to yours)...based in SA too. lots of love and courage to you. Demeure benie!
ОтветитьAlso French is a colonial language; it’s always surprising when an Africa owns that language.
What happened to the ancestral languages??
All these culture shocks are so negative! No good culture shocks at all?
ОтветитьI think sister I guess you were/ are in Cape Town
ОтветитьSouth Africa and DRC almost share the same like language I am a South African I visited DRC .I can speak lingala where you find some of the words you find in our languages
eg - water-mayi-manzi
-zulu-manzi-lingala_ mayi
Rain mvula same both languages
Women-zulu-mfazi-tswana -mosadi-lingala-mowazi
Child-ngwana or bana that is lingala and tswana❤
Sister as South African we believe Africans speak their mother's language not like French.
ОтветитьWhat happened to your tribal luangage
ОтветитьIf you don’t like South Africa, why don’t you bugger off back to Congo?
ОтветитьWhere you come from there' is war forever how come???? 😭
ОтветитьMost Parents don't allow their children to date young in SA, or don't endorse it, but kids do it anyway mostly behind their parents backs. It's not a norm for children to shout at their parents in SA,it's not part of our culture😂. Traditional healers have nothing to do with constitution or even politics and law making 😂. We learn at school about important events in different countries, not about a specific country and what they speak in terms of languages, the are so many countries in the world how is that even possible 😂,I'm sure only thing you learned about SA in Congo is apartheid, not our official languages😂...The is so many different foods in SA stores, I don't know why you had to eat same thing all the time😂. Pap without salt is weird to me too😂.These are Negative "culture" shocks 😂👍!
ОтветитьHey YT fam. As stated at the beginning of the video. These were the things that shocked me when I got to SA. But my perception has changed as I encountered a lot of South Africans from different backgrounds. I love my South African people so much
