They make us so scared and for what? I remember as a little kid someone started a rumour that a boy in my class had nits and it’s impossible to exaggerate how much we all avoided him, he’d walk out onto the playground and everyone would instantly scream and run in the opposite direction. I feel bad now that I’m older but damn I was so scared at the time. I think the teachers realised how much they’d messed up by terrifying us so badly though when so many parents started complaining about the way their kids were being treated and when us kids refused to sit in a classroom with the boy who supposedly had lice.

I remember as a kid that I had lice for months!- I had to stay out of school and my mom tried everything (I have very thick hair and it’s curly) so it took forever, until she ended up getting me to a professional and lice WENT AWAY- I was happy- but sad cause I had to go to school again lol..

I am a freshman, and have never had lice until a few weeks ago. The fear instilled into me in elementary school made me panic so bad, until I found out that it was really not a big deal

When I was in sixth grade in my elementary school some of the fifth graders got Lise and everyone avoided them like the plague.

We used to love this check, because the nurse was gentle with us and it felt good🤷🏻‍♂️🤷🏻‍♂️
