ОтветитьIn the US you usually see fat people wearing shorts when the rest of us are wearing jackets or sweaters. We also get the occasional idiot wearing shorts AND a winter coat
ОтветитьMy family is the most easy to spot example for Vietnamese typical family, the country that only use mat (or carpet) to flick off the dust before go in to the house or just for decorating, but mostly we just use it as a vaccum cleaner for our feet ('cause u knows Asian always wear flip flops, and that'd be uncomfortable if you wear flip flops but your feet still contains dust)

ОтветитьOkay, it's official: I'm British.😄
I'm from and live in Germany (sweet greetings by the wayx), but apart from three points, I completely agree with what you said. Self-tanning isn't as common here and I would never go out without a jacket in winter, but otherwise it's pretty similar to the UK.
Okay, but you'd probably find less Yorkshire pudding, toad in the hole (I don't think it looks like a toad at all, more like caterpillars:)) here and I don't drink alcohol either, but I do love tea. I actually drink more tea than coffee. If I do drink coffee, it's lupine coffee or malt coffee, but not so often. I still prefer hot or cold tea.🫖🍵
Here in Germany, the weather is always like a surprise package. On the same day, it can be 35 °C (yes, 35 °C is already hot for me) and then suddenly there's a storm with heavy rain. But I love that so much. I love it when the weather is varied and it's not 35°C every day:D
In my current apartment I also have carpet in the bedroom, but only because the floor isn't nice and secondly it can get really cold here in winter, especially the floor. The carpet insulates quite well.
About dialects and accents, according to statistics there are around 20 different dialects in Germany. I live near Berlin, so north-east of Germany, and when a Bavarian or Thuringian starts speaking in their dialect, I don't understand anything:D
I also use emojis very often, just to make it clear that I meant something as a joke. My sense of humor is sometimes a bit weird. We Germans are also said to be very rude and to counteract that I like to use emojis. It's also a funny way to illustrate what I'm writing.🙃😊
