I seriously think her training was not what it should have been. this was not a difficult approach in any way.
Ответитьnot the controller's fault. her training was not what it should have been. My flight instructor had me fly into B airspace in Boston and New York (teterborough) to experience fast pace coms and busy traffic areas.
ОтветитьI’m sorry, but this doesn’t seem like a professional “pilot!”
ОтветитьMan never meant to fly.
ОтветитьIt breaks your heart
Thank you Hoover for all your work
The wisdom to know when you're over your head. I wish the other passengers were in a position to help. I would love to have been the spotter so she could focus on flying.
Ответитьwomen drivers > women pilots
ОтветитьIts as if the ATC deal with such experienced pilots in that air space that just expected every pilot to be just as good. its sad man. I wish that had been more understanding...
ОтветитьWhy are all these pilots women
ОтветитьSurprised she did not relocate to Ellington Field a short distance away?
Ответить35, 4, nahhh let's do 35....actually 4....well, honestly 35 at this point, you're clear, no wait there's a 737 on your tail, go back to 4.....holy freakin' moly....she had no chance of landing that thing....she would have been better off picking a field and just trying for that. Or just climbing up to 5000 and pulling the chute and see where you land.
ОтветитьI think air traffic control gave her to many changes to her approach to the runway. She was obviously confused. May God rest their Souls😢
ОтветитьToo many women with money buying things they have no idea how to opperate safely.
ОтветитьClass B = Big.
ОтветитьPower is your friend. 🛫
ОтветитьYOU NEVER NOTE the inability of the female mind to properly operate a moving vehicle of any type NEVER FLY WITH A WOMAN ask the passengers at toronto or Kara Hultgreen trying to land on the lincoln or the woman that killed men in a helicopter in Iraq running into a powerline,, or the recent women that killed all those people with the collision of the helicopter she was flying that ran into the landing jet IF WOMEN CANT PARALLEL PARK A CAR WHY ARE THEY ALLOWED TO FLY ?
ОтветитьMakes my heart hurt. Went from such a simple landing to mass confusion on both ends. Looks like experience on this runway was very necessary. You can sense the attitudes and concerns slowly raising at the end.
ОтветитьDuring my commercial training I went to a busy class C with a bunch of jets landing and just like with Dana, the controller asked me to speed up because there was a jet coming to land in the crossing runway. And even with my instructor on board I remember feeling kind of lost with all the things going on at the same time. Getting closer and not having the runway in sight, worrying about my speed, about the jet that is coming, and do all of that while talking to the tower and maintaining a stable descent. I can definitely understand how overwhelming and pressured she must have felt as an inexperienced pilot. For me the biggest mistake here is the resistance to tell the controller that you are unable to comply or that you need more time. For some reason us pilots ( including myself) feel pressured to always comply with ATC, even if it means pushing our own limits. I am definitely taking this as a lesson and next time I feel uncomfortable with some ATC instruction just speak up. It’s better to get some bitter answer from ATC than putting myself in risk.
Ответитьthis guy has an annoying voice ... that's why i don't listen to this channel
ОтветитьThese controllers talk too much. They should apply the KISS principle much more and give the pilot SHORT and CLEAR instructions with STANDARD phraseology. (KISS = Keep It Short and Simple)
ОтветитьEllington Field is even closer to HOU and i am sure i have seen GA aircraft there.
ОтветитьAfter listening to this, my respect for high volume airport traffic management is high. Definitely not an environment for inexperienced pilots, too much info overload, time sensative decisions. Yikes.
ОтветитьSo sad😮
ОтветитьMy take on this accident is the misapplication of flaps. R.I.P.
ОтветитьG-d Bless Them in their next life
ОтветитьThe root of the problem here was that her expectations didn’t match reality. She wanted to use a private plane as a method of long-distance transportation without really having the experience and ability to do so.
While cross country flying is a requirement for the test, adding in the pressure of a schedule and passengers can be too much for some people. When this is an issue, people should take traditional forms of transportation.
Also, Class B airports should require IFR or possibly a special “Class B certification” could be designed which would prepare private pilots for the rigors of a more complex airport.
Why cant we get demographic information about Pilots in NTSB accident reports? Why why why why why why why why. Are they omitting to obfustucate. If there's not diferences with pilot demographics explain WHY THE hell is demographic information NOT part of an NTSB report including sex age race medical background everything except the person's identifying information like name the social security number and address should be included. That IS the standard practice for data outputs and apparently certain groups of people in this country are protected.
ОтветитьUna mujer fue colocada en un entorno que requería un pensamiento crítico. En realidad, solo hubo 1 resultado posible.
ОтветитьThe Cirrus created a distinct hazard to both itself and other airplanes. The controllers did their best to cope, I fail to see how any of the blame could be ascribed to them. The pilot did not appear to posses the skills and judgement to recognize and deal with the danger she was in. Gulfstream G650 captain here.
ОтветитьArrogance and ignorance on the part of the cirrus pilot. Didn’t have the experience or the care to think through the details of landing at a large surface class B airport. Not everyone should be a pilot
ОтветитьMy goodness 😮
Such a nice lady 😢
DEI female pilot can't make a simple landing after THREE go-arounds and we're still gonna try and blame the male ATC controller? the ATC controller isn't flying the plane. it really hurts to see content creators like this go woke ...
ОтветитьI can't help but feel ATC was the big contributor to this tragedy. Dana sounds calm and confident on the radio. She was likely a fine, albeit inexperienced pilot. Too much emphasis in this debrief is placed on Dana's decisions. She chose to go around twice!! That suggests a pilot attempting to err on the side of conservatism. She wasn't a hot dog suffering from "get-there-itis." ATC really screwed her with confusion!! 😢😢
ОтветитьATC changed her runway 5 times!! 😮😮
ОтветитьThe controllers should have realised they were dealing with an inexperienced pilot, it became clear she was getting in over her head, very sad to hear.
ОтветитьIt sounds like you’re trying to put more on Dana than what I’m listening to… air traffic controller messed up. Seems pretty straightforward. He should’ve diverted the larger plane and let her land in the first place. You should’ve understood that a pilot in a commercial airline would most likely have far more experience than one in a private small aircraft.
ОтветитьThird time wasn’t the charm. It was eternal oblivion
ОтветитьIt doesn't sound as though Dainer was totally at fault.....
Ответитьdont traffic controllers give instructions to land ?
Ответитьyou make all the judgement on her making the mistake. she is following instructions . its easy for you to sit here and say something after the fact.
ОтветитьWe have so many smaller airports near Albany NY , although Albany is super accommodating, we had a crash in January here.
ОтветитьThere are smaller airports near there, go to your alternate.
ОтветитьI’m not a Air Traffic Controller but I feel like they should’ve just given her vectors to final instead of all these long instructions
ОтветитьI am not a pilot or anything, but I think the controllers were hoping that she will try to land somewhere else as flying between planes that are seating hundress of people is not a idea place for smaller ones. Too much at risk, lives, and lawsuits, I personally would avoid these busy airfields. I also wonder how many of these incidents involved crypto investor?
Ответитьyeah, no female pilots for me. thanks...
ОтветитьSee, this is why I play Air Control on my phone!
ОтветитьI don't understand confidence.
ОтветитьThe controllers should have had her exit the air space as it was becoming increasingly confusing for everyone! No excuse for this!
