Copenhagen Historic Grand Prix 2011 - Saturday

A small selection of video clips from different events and races from the Grand Prix's saturday.

Copenhagen Historic Grand Prix is a weekend of racing in the middle of the Danish capital city, Copenhagen. It is northern Europe's biggest urban-Grand prix. The cars are mainly historic racing cars, but there are also other cars attending, for events like the charity passenger rides, Owner's Club parades and the "Legends cars".

The track is a temporary street circuit set up in the week before the race, in one of the biggest green areas in the city, "Fælledparken". Setting up the track involves cutting of an important traffical vein. The circuit is around 1,9km long, with a straight of around 800meters, allowing some cars to reach in excess of 200km/h (125mph) in the middle of the city!

Oh, and I DO apologize for the quality, especially the sound. This has all been recorded with a 5 year old digital stills(!) camera..
