I just want to say - with how dire everything feels at the moment, not only is this lecture encouraging, but the staggering number of 60-70yo people I see in these comments, thanking Milo for educating them, or pulling them out of the pipeline, it's particularly nice to see. There are bad eggs in every group of course, but it is hard not to notice the "boomer (derogatory)" trend. A generation that grew up trusting the news, trusting the status quo, it feels like the trope exists for a reason and y'all are particularly vulnerable as these things you once trusted for facts and news are eaten away at by an alarmingly dishonest administration. And yes this can happen across generations, the kids do this too, but as I get older I know it can be more and more difficult to realize you might have been wrong and need to change your thinking. I just want to express my appreciation for all of y'all older folk, thank you and keep your eyes and ears open.

Thank you for bringing up your experience with the pseudo-intellectualism pipeline. I relate to it a lot, and needed to pull myself out of it as well. This is one of the most pertinent issues in the modern social media age, and how it impacts young minds. I fear this pipeline is all too common, and I hope it can be combated.

Milo, my parents and I watched Ancient Apocalypse with my family about a year ago. I was about to go down the pipeline, so were my parents, because it was heavily produced and was on Netflix so it HAD to be real, right?

Then you popped up on my page, and now I am a science geek, I went into a lengthy discussion with my geography teacher about Pangea and it was so cool! I even might want to be an archeologist one day, or a biomedical engineer, but who knows?

Science doesn't deal with "misinformation". That's a political concept for people dealing with psychological operations and military and police intelligence. This is why "misinformation" is distinct from "incorrect" and why "disinformation" is distinct from "incorrect". This language is important for legal and security purposes. For example, UK special forces have historically disguised themselves as non-British forces in order to attack targets not officially at war with the UK and thus create a false impression. This classified action, if reported on correctly, would be called misinformation or hostile disinformation as informed honesty would make it impossible to deny and all the legal problems that come with that.
Thus these terms being thrown around in regards to scientific matters (which has is own vocabulary) can be an indication of disinformation, misinformation or simply a lack of education in several areas (language, science, pol/mil intelligence etc).

I live in Milo Maine, an interesting fact about the KKK in Milo is since there was not a lot of minorities back then, (and even now) they mostly targeted Catholics and and Irish people.

This is the first video of yours I've seen- It's very refreshing to see someone my age who is both an intellegent speaker and is conscious about what they share on their platform. Based on what you've said, I can assume I won't agree with everything you have 'debunked' on your channel, however I love to have my perspectives challenged, especially thoughtfully. It's so beautiful that humans experience the same objective reality yet can live in very different realities based on their beliefs and experiences. I know nothing of this "Hugh Jonner" fellow.

It was Bright Insight's claims about the Richat structure that almost pulled me in. Instead I searched for debunk videos of the same thing and quickly got straightened out.

So, we know most of these things are not certain but at least they are questioning the narrative. The arrogance of the Sciences astounds me, they state so many things as fact, absence of evidence is not proof, history is rewritten as evidence is revealed…..Turkey. Bosnian pyramid, I want to see the opinions of others and decide myself, I’ll ignore you all I like your arrogance astounds me. Egyptian pyramids, undecorated rooms where no body has been found ? So, telepathy spread rock cutting styles and technology throughout the world or humans were far further travelled than were given credit to…….you would say telepathy, that differing cultures copied each other as a fluke, Cocaine in mummy’s ?? Your ideas are stated with authority, with the backing of the education industrial complex, your closed minded and you wish you were protected from investigation, why do they watch, just listen to yourself, you are the cause of disinformation dim wit, you give rise to the people you criticise. I know a fool when I see one and there’s lots of them, but only one of you. Half a billion of you, how many of the ancient aliens ? You misrepresent. Milo, I went to traditional university for three years. I saw how university admin turned a blind eye to the fact that the pseudoscience pipeline had swallowed the professors.

Watching this video was an amazing experience, but watching it 9 months after posting and reading everyone’s stories in the comments is even more inspiring. Seeing all the people who are in their 70s and 80s still happily admitting they learned something new or are changing their ways or having new realizations gives me such hope for how nihilistic my worldview often turns to. Thank you. I also agree with the opinion that modern science and history is red taped to Hell and back. You shouldn’t need to spend thousands of dollars on tuition to learn. I’m a History Major, but due to situations, I’m on academic prohibition but that doesn’t mean I can’t pursue what I love.

The funny thing is these cats forget that archeology isnt a science. The push back on any type of redating of history or new theory and the insane insults about the character of Graham (whos actually turned out to be right about civilization being much much older) instead of actually debating the subject matter is highly suspect don't ya think? Milo, i appreciate your videos and i honestly respect your achievements in spreading knowledge about scientific process. (The how it works, why it works etc.) You seem like a person who honestly cares about facts and truth. I wanted to point this out with my comment, because i noticed your left leaning political views and i would especialy like to apreciate that because i am right wing, we are basically polar opposites in political views, i guess, so where im going with this comment? Well, western society is so polarized that i felt like sharing the fact, via this comment, that there are inteligent people on both sides of the political spectrum and i am glad to see people like Milo, smart, articulate, passionate about the truth, on the other side of the isle.
