I’ve got ~9670 pokos with the added restriction to not squash any beetles (so I didn’t get those treasures) would it be possible if you could post your treasure hoard so I can see what I’m missing/is it doable without harming beetles

You might be able to prevent all of those accidental deaths by farming more bitter spray. I don't think would trivialize the challenge.

There’s a glitch you could have done at the start so you could use louie without killing the bulblorb on that file, press a’s video on “how fast can you beat every pikmin game” shows it off

Actuallllyyy the ravenous whiskerpillar can be DEFEATED.
They seem to play dead until a pikmin lifts them up then they start freaking out. So technically they don't die.
Also you could farm from the iridescent flint beetles a little bit since they also never die

I see you're using an emulator for this... did you know that RetroAchievements has recently added support for Gamecube? Pretty sure it's even using the same emulator you're using!
And yes, Pikmin 1 and 2 are part of the initial rollout. Including some subsets, such as "no blues" and "minimum Days".

You can hear a little sound indicating when you've got all treasures in a floor, even without the Prototype Detector. It would have saved you some times :D
