Goes to show we never know when our time is up. Poor guy what an awful thing to have happen. I've had a few close calls. Once I was sitting in my car which was under a tree drinking a coffee. I decide to leave and as I drove away just a few feet lightning struck the tree. Condolences to the family of Charles Wood Jr.🙏

Death by tree! Nature won that fight. You would think that the tree would be removed so it doesn't happen again or at least a rail or retaining wall would be put up. I could honestly see that happening again.

I've never been to a Jack In The Box- I see the commercials on the american tv stations. How does it compare to the other fast food chains ? That is a bizarre accident to happen at any drive thru. Looks like a old but nice neighbourhood. All those big stone brick houses. They don't build houses like that anymore.

Always put your car in park at any drive thru , I learned that by watching another driver making the mistake of just putting their foot on the break and leaning out their window. I even put it in park for bank atm and for getting a parking garage ticket to pay it later on. Just be safe and put it in park.

I bet he realized he had to put car in park to open the door to grab his meal, but accidentally threw it in reverse, car rolled backwards, he panicked snd hit the gas instead of the brake. Must have been hungry, sometimes don't think clearly when really hungry.

Poor guy. There’s a jack in the box here in Riverside that had an abandoned stolen car in the parking lot for days and a body was in the trunk and it involved kidnapping murder robbery police pursuit and finally the abandoned car and body
