Good guide - refreshing to see someone who knows their stuff acknowledge that you don't always need an expensive specialist brush for cleaning wheel arches or tyre side walls!

What would you recommend for seriously baked on brake dust that's built up over months/years rather than a few weeks? I've heard the microfibre or wool brushes aren't aggressive enough for that. Or is it a case of get the right chemical on there and a soft brush will work rather than having to reach for the stiffer bristled brushes.
