I've studied this since 1976 , I was 7 yrs old when I started, I'm 53 now , plz don't attack me for this comment, I know it sounds nuts, this is my theory about what they are , in the Bible there were two brothers, Jacob and Esau, Esau was what the Bible called a mighty hunter of the forest, and was covered with hair ,Jacob was a tiller of the fields his father was supposed to give the elder brother Esau his blessing on his death bed but Jacob knowing his fathers eyesight had failed, deceived him by wearing an animal fur , stealing the blessings (inheritance) for this God banished him to roam the wilderness and never have contact with civilization for all time , and actually be covered with real fur, i believe these creatures are Jacobs descendants, and supernatural beings, they will never capture one alive or dead , they have been reported to have disappeared in front of people, tho they're very real , they leave footprints, one in Pennsylvania my friend and many others even police have witnessed running 40 mph down a highway causing accidents, like I said they are spiritual creatures that should be left alone, they will never hurt a human because it's not gods will , and nobody will ever be able to kill one , just my opinion, or who knows maybe a bunch of dudes in monkey costumes all over the world trying to freak people out
