My take away the public domain is better for horror than sci-fi, other than Gamera.

I’m glad that it’s no longer as acceptable for aliens to be identical to humans.

Laser Mission looks freaking awesome and hilarious! The 1980s were such a great and magical era for just about any film budget. And lol at robot monster. I remember seeing a trailer for it on a old 50s monster movie VHS tape when I was a kid and even as a child being perplexed at what I was looking at haha

I very much disagree with you on Robot Monster. It is a maligned and underrated classic. A gem in the very rough. The movie was made when I was five. in 1953. I did not see it then. I saw it when I was seven. on our small black and white TV. with commercials every ten minutes. I t still managed to give me nightmares. This was the fifties. It is easy to poke fun. The budget was incredibly low for the film they conceived of making, The movie was shot in 3-D which was effective, hence the monster repeatedly coming at. you. the soap bubbles were eerie and unworldly at that local, also 3-d effective. Who ever divide out the budget. should get a medal for hiring the young Elmer Bernstein to do the score., This great composer who later did the likes of, The Magnificent Seven. and The Ten Commandments, Made this as frighting a score as he could, and it works. The Monster, a killer, He killed the Kid ! The family was similar to the later formed Robinson's group from Lost in Space. one could also Dra a parrallel to Night of the Living Dead. Survivors holed up agains an unknown killer, The stuff of nightmares in an age of innocence.

I liked Nightbeast, Galaxy Invader seemed like a step down. Like he's devolving his craft rather than improving. Makes me think of Gamera 4 Truth guy did Yamato vs Reiga which was okay but then 'comedy's Raiga was far worse. So maybe Gamera 4 was his best work?

Don dohler did other movies, such as the alien factor, that were less..grimy than galaxy invader. The latter comes across like he was working through some personal issues.

Re the remarkably easy-to-sabotage alien technology in "Killers in Space", it seems like a holdover from 1930s pulp alien invasion stories, where it was practically a running gag that the alien's doomsday device or gravity generator would inevitably have a "kill all the aliens" setting.

The eyes from Killers from Space were apparently just something the costume designer came up with. They had next to no budget for makeup, so they just slapped together the eyes and bushy eyebrows. They thought it would at least be memorable.

These sort of vintage bin box series is fantastic! I hope u have a few more up ur sleeves and i wouldn’t mind a fun scripted take on more recognizable vintage horror films. Please keep up the good work!

Enjoying this as much as the horror one, looking forward to seeing the next part.

Though I do have to say that whilst I completely understand as they don't fit the theme you were aiming for, I have a soft spot for sand and sandle type movies (for the most part, obviously there's a lot of crap ones), blame a childhood spent watching the many, many screenings of Ray Harryhausen movies on TV. And while very few of them ever reach the lofty heights of say, Jason and the Argonauts or pretty much any of the Sinbad movies; there's just something about the concept of Americans pretending to be ancient Greeks or Romans that tickles me.

Hey there. Do you like to review and want to collaborate with others while making friends along the way? If your answer is yes then you are probably interested to join the Reviewer community Team Night Saturn where reviewers like you and me are coming together.

Other Reviewers who are a part of the team are Antoni Garcia, Karl Wallace aka "Some Canadian Critic", Joey Hollywood, Lucas Bradley aka the "Fairly OddGamer", Eli D. Perry, Marcus of Denmark and "Talking Pop Culture". My channel has reviews as well. For reference there's my review of Abraham Lincoln: Vampire Hunter. I would love to hear from you soon.

We might be a small group of reviewers but with your help we can make it bigger and give everyone, including YOU, the opportunity to grow a bigger audience.

I loved coming home from school to watch The Son's of Hercules. The stories varied in quality but I enjoyed them, of course I was a lot younger then. The Son of Hercules in the Land of Darkness was a favorite. I do remember one where the hero told a woman his father was Hercules and his mother was the Moon, even at my young age age I wondered how that worked.

You miss that in Killers from Space Peter Graves was resurrected from the dead. (Sorry for the redundancy). Scared me when I was ten. Feared he'd go zombie or something and start eating people.

I personally love, "Invaders From Space"!!! One of my favorite, '50's sci-fi/horror films🎞️. A unique story, in it's day. W. Lee Wilder made films, with alot of original ideas💡('cause of low budget's). Can't be, that well disliked, as the eye concept was later used, in an 'Outer Limits', episode. Theremin sound effects, cheesy?? It was an excellent invention, whose sounds effects were instrumental, for defining, sci/horror pictures☺️.
Love your whole take, and attitude on this👏. I totally concur with you, as I got boxes of these sets, throughout the years🙄.
