Although, the lead singer sounds like Robert Smith of The Cure, I think these guys are underrated. Their style isn"t exactly like The Cure and I like their songs better than The Cure's side tracks. Oh how I miss the days when post-punk/new wave music was popular.

It's 2024 about to be 2025 and I'm STILL listening to this MAGIC tune!! its got The Smiths and Big Country in it! ...they (Essense) have another tune (ONLY FOR YOU) which is amazing if you loved this...Reading up on the band its sad that the lead singer is the ONLY original member...

Yes, I agree. The Cure is a for sure influence over this band. I like it. Kinda pop hit souding but pleasant. Wait...Big country also as others said. I'm digging deeper here and gonna say Scotland band maybe? Big Country is. They don't do the U2 or Cranberrys or the Sundays thing.
