Ireland used to be very Catholic, not Christian. And the Catholics really hated this song. Apparently they sent in a protest list trying to stop Bambie Thug from representing Ireland. 😆

And don't mess paganism and satanism, that's two different things.

I always find it funny people saying they didnt expect this from Ireland. Catholicism aside (which is not as popular anymore) we have a history of paganism, Hallowe'en has origins here and we created dracula! We've always been a bit dark

Best staging ever in ESC history! Firs time ever I was surprised, amazed and caught off guard, as I had no idea how they would stage this - and every little detail was 100% on point! The interaction Bambie has with the camera is some of the best in Eurovision history, and the transitions between pop and metal are amazingly executed. And keeping up the vocals as well as she did at the same time was amazing as well! This was by far the most original song of the year. I still believe thay the winning song had a better storyline, but I would have loved for Ireland to have come top 3 this yearat least. Switzerland, Ireland and Norway should have been the top3.
