If Lance Liepold is willing.... then go get him. Otherwise; Luke needs to get this dialed in. This has to be the worst OL i have seen in years, at WI, Luke has to fix that. Next year schedule is even harder, those days of like 4 or 5 cupcake games before the real season starts is over with.

Deserves another chance. Looks like a qb issue, and the defense playd well which he deserves credit for.

I may be in the minority, but I played college football, so I think I know better than most people, but coaching isn't this team's biggest problem. Recruiting, and lack of talent, is a bigger problem. This was not a talented team this year. None of these linebackers nor tight ends will play in the NFL. Now, that said, I do have a coaching recommendation. It was a huge, huge mistake to let Longo be both OC and QB coach. Wisconsin is not a school that attracts top Quarterbacks, and so it must develop Quarterbacks. As long as that is the case, you CANNOT have a OC that isn't laser-focused on the QB at all times. UW needs to bring in a full-time QB coach who can develop average Quarterbacks. And no, it does NOT need to be a former UW quarterback; in fact, that would be a mistake.

Love the passion of all the fans. To fire Fickle is a kneejerk reaction though. Truth is there is not a coach in America that is winning with this team. I was at the game today and it is so apparent. O Line play is brutal, QB play is trash, WRs get no seperation. D Line Sucks something fierce. Gopher QB had all day to pass. Need a massive influx of talent. Absolutely need to nail the next OC hire and yes QB coach. Then they need to coach the hell out of these guys. And Finally I want to see some Fucken Fire from the Head Coach. LFG Bucky.

Im sorry but these Ohio coaches don't know Wisconsin and we need Jim Lenard. We need to get back to grass roots Wisconsin players who want to play for Wisconsin, not an NIL deal. We use to have walk ons that played better than these 4 or 5 star recruits/transfers we have come in. Coaches aren't coaching up it seems like.

Let me guess, new transfer QB next year. SAME excuses next year. QB needs to learn new system. QB needs to get on same page as his receivers. Fickell needs to have an actual plan to improve the Badgers and not just hope we win the portal lottery. Week in and week out, Badgers look like they are making it up as they go along. What player metrics improved this year?

His program is a sinking ship with him in charge. He is 10-15 against Big Ten teams. He had Longo take the blame on offense and fired him late in the season. WTH? I would not send my son to play for this guy.

As a Gopher fan, we've had some bad coaches. I feel for Badger fans right now. I was at the game, and it was fun that Minnesota won, but the game wasn't exciting like they used to be. I don't like Luke's vibe. I know everyone makes fun of PJ, but he is always upbeat and encouraging. I'd much rather play for a guy like Fleck than Fickell. I hope UW figures it out! Gophers are finally good enough to battle with the Badger teams of a decade ago. It's not as fun when Wisco is down. Ski U Mah! and On, Wisconsin.

In all fairness to Fickell, how to you motivate a guy who is only here for a year or two before going somewhere else that a game against Minnesota and the axe are important? Honestly, I don't know. I guess that's why I'm not a coach.

The transfer portal has done many things, but one of the lesser discussed things is the destruction of rivalries among middle of the pack teams. Sure, the fans still see it as important but do the guys constantly moving in and out of a roster ???? Do they see it the same way that we do? Likely not.

What we should do: 1) start recruiting guys who are committed to Wisconsin as a school (use the portal sparingly). 2) get a coach like Darrell Bevell or Leonhard - get an alum. 3) Fire this bum asap.

He was hired because he promised an innovative air attack. So he destroyed Wisconsin's ground system. Now he is saying the team needs a strong ground game. This guy is college football's Matt Eberfluss.

Where are the pundits who loved this guy?

Badgers Fans had a dilapidated program with worn out resources and Very Weak Fans before Fick every came to Madison. You all were completely unprepared for:
1. NIL
2. Expanded B10 and playing 4 Top Ranked Teams in 1 year

This is a proud UW alum here...I know millions and millions go into college football for better or worse but this is sickening. When research labs doing great work have to struggle and this joker gets an obscene amount of money. Ugh

I drove 5 hours to the game in Iowa to watch them get absolutely destroyed. To not put a different QB in these last few games absolutely demoralized the fan base and the rest of the current players is poor coaching and judgement. The schedule was tough, but at a certain point you gotta see what these young guys can do and getting them game time is critical for development and seeing the speed of the game at this level.

No other Wisconsin coach has ever blamed his players like this. This BOZO said, "I have coached for a long time and I've never been in a situation like this." HE CREATED THE SITUATION!!!!!!!! GET RID OF THIS GUY!!!!!!!!!!

Look within. I’ve watched this nonsense for 30 years. A succession of coaches who were too lazy or incompetent to recruit an elite QB. Fickell accomplished something no UW coach ever achieved bringing a mid major to the CFP. Did Barry, Bielema, or Chryst do that? We’re all getting a good dose of the reality of how backwards this program has been for twenty years or more. You don’t turn that around in a year or two. Give Fickell a chance to do what should have been done over twenty years ago and bring the Badgers into the 21st century.

Wisconsin needs to find a Dan Lanning clone as HC.

It’s interesting to see the difference in fan expectations over the years. Fickell has won twice as many games as Alvarez after two seasons. The talent level of this program was very low after Chryst left.

Get ready for more years of medicroty. I"m betting about three. The buyout right now would be over $40 million, and that simply won't happen. However, it will be lessoned as each tortuous year evaporates. Thrity-five years ago when Barry Alveraz lost 10 games in his first year, one stil sensed the program was headed in the right direction. The direction of it now? A trainwreck.
