Omg when will people just realize that everyone has different interests and just want to do their own thing! Goths being attacked— is just —TERRIBLE. I may not look goth now but in my heart I will always be a goth. I went more new wave-Y but that’s just because it’s another look and I like to change. I was attacked just because I was a Goth when I was 14 by 3 24 year old Muslim men in my first 3 days in UK . And I hate it here ever since

We are told to accept trans gays and even Muslims that want us dead yet when it come to Goths hate and Goth phobia is allowed

Its strange I have seen Kaya s videos for years and communicated with her on various occasions but didn't know she appeared on the BBC . A great choice for a UK Goth being someone who isn't a fad Goth , or someone involved in drugs and a genuine nice person .We need more people like her to break all the bad press . Not that so called normal people will ever see it otherwise , people still see Black cats as unlucky and Crows and Ravens as evil. I never see why Black is so evil , I tend to find more unpleasant people wearing fashionable clothes or suites

Sorry to hear about the firework incident and other abuse. I used to be a goth and experienced some trouble with goth stereotypes and prejudice. Someone actually said to me (after I had told them I was a goth), “But you seem like a nice person, you don’t seem like a goth.” Who says goths can’t be nice? I was (and still am) an very moral and kind person, a vegetarian (I am now vegan) and an animal rights person.
I have also experienced teasing about being vegan (“you need meat, don’t you?”, no you don’t!)

I like heavy metal and how I dress is I wear metal hoodies zip up or pullover with a pair of joggers or trackies Nike trainers metal baseball cap or metal beanie with metal t shirt or vest underneath and a normal puffer coat in the winter :) works for me. Use to get made fun of for wearing camouflage trousers
