I feel sad every time I see Tony Bourdain, he had the best job in tbe world, was beloved by millions, had a family, and still that wasn't enough 🙁 what a tragedy. I cannot fathom how heartbroken his close ones must feel.

I always made a turkey pot pie for my family with the left over food on the following Sunday.

Chinese oxtail soup with peanuts, Filipino oxtail stew with peanut sauce (kare kare) and fermented shrimp sauce. Oxtail is alive and well in Hawaii.

David Chang saying you see oxtail in all other cultures except America means he has never been to the American South. Oxtails with rice and gravy is a very traditional meal. Oof.

that Christmas pie looks like something out of a cartoon.... exceptional
