simply put no frills great thanks
ОтветитьSWEEEEEET!
ОтветитьThumbs up for mentioning not a true blood knot. Would not be able to use a tag a a extra fly for double dropper rig. Couple cuts above the overhand knot could tie correctly. Awesome technique plan on using and teaching others, Thanks.
Ответитьalmost looks like a dropper loop knot but w different lines...cool trick
ОтветитьI like it!
ОтветитьFinally tried this knot and have been using it the last few weeks . I just love the easiness and strength . Love this knot
Thanks
Thank you, sir!
ОтветитьI am a Boy Scout learning how to tie the blood loop, or barrel loop, and I could not figure out how to do this. However thanks to YOUR help I now can. Thank you!
ОтветитьWow I will be doing it this way from now on. Thanks Just tried it. works great.
ОтветитьLefty Kreh has easy method to tie it and I have seen it done before, but I can't remember all the steps. It's so easy in fact, you should be able to tie it on the stream late at night in the summer.
ОтветитьMany thanks for that Video. A great knot. Strong and easy to tie. Tom
ОтветитьExcellent video. Great tip.
ОтветитьNICE!
ОтветитьGreat trick......helps alot, it's alot smoother than a triple surgeons when buidling leaders!!
ОтветитьThanks for sharing a great tip
ОтветитьI salute you! Been struggling big time.
ОтветитьThanks for the post. This really helps a 75 yr. old :)
ОтветитьThis knot has been around forever. I learned it when I started fly fishing in CA 35 years ago, as the "varied blood knot." I have never felt the need to tie a standard blood knot.
ОтветитьA nice little trick! I still enjoy tying the true blood knot however. But I will try this.
Ответитьbeen using it for 2 years after I saw this video and I have yet to have an issue with it . Great easy Knot.
ОтветитьThank you for sharing this. I saw this technique years ago and used it for adding bigger saltwater leaders.Getting into flyfishing and forgot all about it..great for tapered leaders now. Easiest way I’ve seen. Thanks again! 🎣
ОтветитьThank you. Thank you
Ответитьgreat tip! Thanks.
ОтветитьAs my eyes have gotten weaker over the years, I've had more and more trouble typing the Blood knot the traditional way, especially with lighter tippet. I just watched this three times, and practiced half a dozen times. I'm quite pleased with how it works at my desk. Tomorrow I'll find out how it works on the water. Thanks. Very useful.
ОтветитьThanks sir!!
Ответитьbrilliant. thanks
ОтветитьThanks for the choreography free simple video.
Rookie here so bear with my question if it's mentally challenged .... Will this knot work using mono or fluorocarbon. Thats in advance.
Awesome...thank you!
ОтветитьTook me about 20 attempts to figure out at the end how the knot on each side should come together and which lines to pull and all that but once I recognized how the line should look as its coming together I'm able to tie it perfectly now each time. It is a great, strong, tiny knot to tie 2 lines together. I really like the functionality of tying the overhand knot at the beginning as well. Makes a huge difference. Would have helped to use 2 bigger lines of different colors to demonstrate this better IMO especially as the over hand knot came through the loop when pulling the lines together.
ОтветитьThat's "a knot" for sure, and fast, but it's not a Blood knot. The tag ends need to come out at opposite directions or you will have problems. It doesnt tighten down correctly. you can sit at the table and tie one and it will pop in your hands. Ive done it.
ОтветитьGreat knot! Thanks
Ответитьa properly tied blood knot has tag ends pointing in opposite direction.
ОтветитьI have given up on the bold knot until now. thank you so much.
ОтветитьThis reeks of global conspiracy. Why haven’t I known about this sooner?
ОтветитьWow, tnx to this technic this the most simply still the best,
ОтветитьI use it on everything from 0x to 7x tippet.
ОтветитьNice Dropper Loop.
ОтветитьSeems like it might be weaker than a true blood knot--but damn, that is easier on old eyes! And it doesn't require wasting 6-8" of material on each piece, like the other 'easy' methods.
ОтветитьThank you. Thank you. Thank you. This 75 yo had given up on the blood knot until now.
ОтветитьThanks for this information. Yes my hands get very cold and it's hard to tie knots here in Eastern Pennsylvania fishing for trout on the spring. I'm going to use this knot for a dropper rig too. It should work well.
ОтветитьI'm a bass fisherman and I use the blood knot to join hi-vis yellow mono to clear mono. I love the strike detection qualities of hi-vis line. Although I use your method occasionally, I find a traditional blood knot goes through my guides better.
ОтветитьThis just complicated the blood knot. I don’t have trouble holding the tag ends. With this method I have trouble with the entire process
ОтветитьThis knot is actually a dropper loop not a blood knot.
ОтветитьFor practicing any knot, start with two shoe strings of a different color. It's easier to manipulate while your learning the mechanics. I'm 64 years old, eyesight isn't what it used to be and nerve damage in both arms limits what I can do, but I can tie this knot standing in a stream in a fog. Do I prefer a traditional blood knot when nymphing on a tightline using the tag ends as sight indicators, sure, but that's better at the bench than the stream. PS...It's embrassing having my son tie my knots and inconvenient for him, so I also found a easy way to tie a cinch knot using hemostats on a video. I've used the nail knot tool, it takes more time to use and who wants an extra tool dangling, begging to snag your leader at any moment!
ОтветитьBrilliant
