Can't wait for the slideshow promising 3090 performance with the 5060
ОтветитьIt might be counter intuitive, but by and large bad coverage is still better than no coverage. And Looking at the past releases this year, the 5060 is going to sell out in the first week anyway, so I see no reason to conspire that Nvidia are doing these shenanigans on purpose. It seems more likely to me, that releasing it close to computex is to steal a bit of the limelight ...
ОтветитьConsole hw used to hold back pc gaming and now its the 8gb cards.
ОтветитьWhat we need is a 6060 Ti with 2Gb ram!
ОтветитьI feel like not enough people are talking about the fact that not only is it an 8gb gpu but it also only has 8 lanes of pcie which is a massive issue for people on gen3/gen4 systems
ОтветитьI have a dev driver if you want it
Pm me and ill supply
rip baylon's car omg 6 months because of a stupid person damn and steve just wanted to say that you impress me with all the gym building and handy stuff you do yourself, it's so cool xd everytime I hear one of your stories Im like man he doesnt hestitate to get his hands "dirty" and figures things out
ОтветитьNvidia does not want to repeat their biggest mistake: GTX 1080ti
ОтветитьThis card is real stupid. It needs new pcie 5.0, but its a "budget" card, on pcie 4.0 its performance drops significantly. On top of all its going to be 300-350e, and even more stupid there is a 5060ti 8GB, for titanium hard stupid 😂 for 400-450e.
ОтветитьWith all of your talk above boring lives, you've got me really interested in what your outdoor spaces look like and the yard/gardening progress. Especially Steve's ac hardware mounting stuff, that sounds pretty neat. Any pictures you guys can share?
ОтветитьIt's a problem caused by a lack of competition.
ОтветитьLast good 60 series was 3060 Ti
ОтветитьThe 5060 ti is just a 3070 with the same pricing as the 3070 had at launch. You can get 2020 performance in 2025 for the same price you would've paid in 2020...
ОтветитьKids dont panic!
Ответитьspot on, every card in the past was released friday or thursday hmm
ОтветитьWould you make a video called "Don't buy the 5060"? I mean, NV wanting to bury the reviews already tells us they're confident it'll be received poorly. The video could point out the scummy practices, and tell people to wait for actual reviews.
Ответитьwhy not just launch all the gpus together, or at least launch all the 60 class at one shot. its depressing to see every nxt GPU is worse then the previous one. AND how are gpus evolving backwards, the whole point of launching a new generation is so that consumers can get the last gen high tier of performance in a lower price with the new generation.
yes we are getting more performance with rtx 5000 but it also that much more expensive, so whats the point.
4060 cant even beat 3060 ti
4060 ti is same as 3060 ti with more vram
5060 ti is a decent jump from 3060 ti but its way too expensive to justify its performance and it cant even best 4070
5070 is basically a 4070 super which supposed to have 50 dollar less msrp, but its street price is totally opposite, with 5070 selling around 70k inr (800usd) while 4070 super was around 55k inr (650usd) before it got discontinued
9070 is also same as 5070 but even more expensive
It honestly sucks how the 5070 is essentially an x60 card now and the 60 non-ti will be roughly an x50 card... if not actually slightly worse. Nvidia's gone crazy with how they name and price these things.
ОтветитьWhen stacking bad things together, that would be a crap sandwich 💩 🥪
ОтветитьI miss when Gamer's Nexus used to cover content regardless if it was launch day or not, if it meant addressing industry nonsense. This is why I used to support them on Patreon for years.
ОтветитьThe thing about "it's not for enthusiasts" is telling. That IS a valid argument; >50% of late model BMW's have "M" plastered all over them despite having between zero and inconsequential performance credentials. The difference is that while BMW dilutes the M brand and annoys actual M-car owners, those paper M's are STILL FUNCTIONAL CARS with good driving dynamics.
There are many places/times in the US where a car that can't exceed 75mph is a rolling roadblock - these 8GB cards are being marketed like a 'M', except they can't make it past 75mph.
They almost seem to be making the argument that actual enthusiasts should appreciate them hosing ignorant/new/stupid customers so we can 'benefit' by getting more bang for buck from them on the nicer products. I don't want people getting screwed over; if they want to overpay that's not my problem. But if they are overpaying for a product that isn't fully functional, it'll turn masses of people off and affect the enjoyment of the hobby (everybody has to start somewhere).
Anti consumer nvidia
ОтветитьKCD2 is amazing. About halfway through a hardcore playthrough and can't wait for the first DLC to drop in a couple of days.
ОтветитьWhat are you guys crying about? You know the perf of the 60ti 8gb. So you know what the perf of a 5060 8gb will be. You know what older cards it'll match. You know the price is $299. You don't need drivers to make a review. The 60ti would still be trash at $299. So, the 60 will be even worse. A day one review just needs to mention those facts and say don't buy it. It'd be a good and quick 20 minute video with the ending being don't buy it, an 8gb card needs to be under $180. And we know it won't be $299. It'll have to be a lot more. There are a ton of better cards out there. 6800XT's go for $300. 7900XT's go for $420. Idiots are selling their XTX's for $600 to buy 9070XT's.
ОтветитьAll this drama reminds me when we went from 8 to 16 MB vram! would be nice to make a video about it in old games ! my first gpu was an integrated S3 8mb i upgraded to an Gforce 4 32mb and then a Radeon 9600xt 128mb in the span of 3 years!
ОтветитьPost a joke review day of with 0 fps and just say you didn’t have drivers, so it wasn’t working.
ОтветитьThis just feels normal. Everyone gets them at the same time. ?!
ОтветитьMoving the ac is huge. My apartment has this goofy one stuffed into a closet in one of the bedrooms. WHYYY
ОтветитьYour home sounds huge Steve
ОтветитьGTA 6 now "2026"
Are they making it's less or more Woke...
Or it doesn't run on 8 GB but they what to sell it and half year they buy new one if they want to pay/play GTA6 probably Woke 150euro game 💩...
The 50 series range is simply here as a limited release to make the even more expensive upcoming 50 Super range seem reasonably priced.
It's clear to me that the whole thing is just a token exercise anyway. They are making gaming cards as cheaply as they can to 'waste' as little money on the gaming market as they can.
Nvidia want to get as much money as possible per unit because it's using same silicon they could get more money for in AI/Datacentre cards.
It's the reason they also killed the 40 series. It's the same silicon as the 40 series too.
There might be reasonable supply for the lower cards, because they make use of 'lower quality' silicon that isn't really as good as AI demands, but overall, they aren't interested in making gaming cards.
It's greed and disdain for the gamers that built their company. It's anti-consumer BS.
Some say "Nvidia can't afford to lose the gaming market". Yes, they absolutely can and they don't care. They could afford to treat gamers well, but when the alternative is bigger profits they will not. They are much less interested in reputation and consumer loyalty than in quarterly figures and shareholder sentiment.
Gamers have to pray the AI bubble bursts sooner rather than later. We will be a distant priority until it does.
Fingers crossed the next generation uses different silicon to AI/datacentre cards, then gamers might get a chance.
I would suggest people boycott or at least hold off buying as long as possible, but I honestly believe it makes no difference to Nvidia. They don't care. It will only make them abandon gamers more, maybe, but it certainly won't make them treat us better.
@TheHardwareUnboxedPodcast Don't review the card. Nvidia don't want you to and you know it will be crap, so don't bother. Just release a short video that says "Don't buy it. It can't be good". I'd respect that greatly. Why waste your time?
ОтветитьAMD should do the next: price the RX 9060 XT 16 GB at 300 USD, rename the 8 GB variant to RX 9050 and price it at 200 USD or just cancel it.
ОтветитьBuy it or don't buy it conversation over
Ответитьyou really should review the card as you would, if it was a flagship gpu. If it breaks, doesn't launch games , doesnt support any of the features nvidia says it should; that isn't your fault, thats nvidia problem.
ОтветитьDon't forget the damage that UE5 is doing to modern games visuals and performance.
ОтветитьYou have confirmation bias when it comes to GPUs. Modern game engines bring even 5090 to its knees
Ответитьmy old 1080ti from 2017 had 11gb, why are the joke companies still on 8gb
ОтветитьRTX 5060: RTX 4080 performance 😮
ОтветитьThe RTX 4060 is "successful", because people have that much money for a GPU.
They won't be upsold to a 800usd GPU.
HD 6850 was 1GB.
RX 480 was 8GB.
In the span of 6 years.
I’ve been waiting on Blaine’s car since the last pc you all did, maybe not 6 months but very close to it
ОтветитьAlot of creators don't understand that there will be paid reviews of 5060 which will get all the traction, when genuine/unpaid reviews will not be able to cover it
ОтветитьStop... Clicking... That... Mouse! Please consider getting a silent mouse like an MX Master 3S. It's driving me crazy, and makes the hosts seem totally uninterested in the topics 😂
Ответить16GB of VRAM should've been the base amount last gen. At this rate I'm not even sure we'll get it next gen. I can totally see games running better, looking better, and having more features on next gen consoles because devs will still have to work with 8GB of VRAM on PC.
ОтветитьTo sum up this video.
- 16gb should be the standard in 2025
- Developers aren't able to deliver on better performance due to graphics cards hardware being stagnated & gimped
- There's zero reason why a console is 16gb of vram... yet a pc doesn't come with 16gb vram bare minimum or higher.
-
When I bought my 1080 ti with 11gb vram in 2017 I thought we'd have 32gb low en gpus in 2025. You guys are not crazy for suggesting that even 16gb is a bit low for 2025.
Ответить
