I wonder if Mike got his sense of smell back after getting his skull cracked for snitchin ? He helped a boss in a fight , the wiseguys took him to lunch for his help . he immediately made a call to the cops (as he was kicked off the force for misconduct) and wanted to help with the ratting . He got them locked up and the safe neighborhood in Newark is now overrun with drugs , prostitution , and murders . It was a happy safe neighborhood until Mike came a snitchin .
