All of my umbrellas are Totes, or Nautica I paid <$20 for each. The center pole, and the ribs are made from steel, and the fabric is heavy nylon.

They have withstanded heavy winds, and being blown backwards.

You pay premium prices for the wind resistance and durability so your umbrella can be used even in a storm during strong wind without it bending, breaking or getting torn to pieces.
