Beautiful scenery
ОтветитьThanks for the video, Dave. Really looking forward to the rest of the trip. Big jump in energy usage on last leg. Never been a DX hound but the agenda for IXDC looks interesting. Have a good trip and good time!
ОтветитьWhat HW version does your X have?
ОтветитьYou sure like to travel . They do have airplanes.
ОтветитьDave, you and Greg be safe out there, happy motoring.
ОтветитьOk Dave great content, I was looking at a 2020 Model X Long Range Plus with about 8600 miles on it, took it for a test drive and evaluated it to be not a bad road cruiser (not as nice as my 2023 Ioniq 5 for having a quite cabin and and handling) but want to see more about charging and efficiency, great you are keeping us posted on this car. I love it as it still has the USS sensors and real radar which as you can see is required as Tesla has dropped the only vision ADAS in favour of radar and vision in the latest 4.0 version that is shipping now. But what is great is you also have real stalks on the steering column and a real wheel (mid you Tesla did buckle and make that round wheel standard with the option of the Joke, oh sorry the yoke steering wheel.
ОтветитьHow do you like the Model X vs the Mach-E you had?
ОтветитьHi Dave, Visalia brings back old memories since I lived there from 1990-1994. You and Greg should take a ride from Visalia on Hwy 190 East and about 45 minutes later you will be at the entrance to the Sequoia National Park. At the top of the 7000' climb look for the General Sherman Sequoia. The beauty of this area is a lifetime experience. Safe travels! Always enjoy your videos.
ОтветитьFantastic video Dave and was great seeing the beauty of the USA 🇺🇸 😊
Ответить👍👍😎✌️🤟
ОтветитьThe one thing about EV’s have plenty of money and plenty of time on long road trips.
ОтветитьYou’d get faster charging, and less charge stops, if you didn’t recharge at 30%+ SoC. Knock it out til you’re down to under 10%-15% 👍
ОтветитьIt might sound comical, but although it's mush better for the two of you, your Tesla road trip video is sort of boring to the viewer. There's no excitement as to whether the charger is going to work or not and at which speeds. It's like a road trip video on a gasoline vehicle. Where's the excitement? They've been done millions of times. The Lighting videos were somehow more intertaning to watch. It's somehow like exploring a new, adventurous world.
Ответить215 kWh x $0.4/kWh = $86 can buy about 22 gallons of gas, 604 miles / 22 gallons = 27 MPG. Is my calculation correct? Where is the saving compared to ICE car?
ОтветитьAs a ex CAin I know this trip... good luck!
ОтветитьAnd Visalia is pronounced with an 's' not a 'z'. ;)
Ответитьgreat trip in the mighty tesla
ОтветитьI wonder if you look for hotels with destination chargers along your route. That could get you going with a full charge each morning.
ОтветитьGreat video Dave, let's hear it for co-pilot Greg too, trees are looking superb, reversing is so easy in Tesla's!, the Model X is a real beauty, looks luxurious. FSD is a no brainier for these trips, imagine when the whole world is using it... 👀 it's will make driving so much safer and swifter.... Safe journey guys!
ОтветитьHave fun on your trip you guys!
I’ve been wondering about that covering on your dashboards. Do you find that it helps a lot? I’m thinking of trying it!
WTH... I was unsubscribed from you for some reason. I have some catching up to do...
