Dr Doom canonically despises being lowered at the same league as Magneto, Doom has defeated everything including Sentry, Hulk, Galactus, Thor, and even above. Magneto who has also being defeated by Doom with both Magic and Technology poses no menace.

Interesting you bring up that Magneto could manipulate Celestials, then you bring up Doom being able to battle Mephisto as showing Magneto is not powerful enough to beat Doom.

Could doom stand toe to toe with phoenix? Mayne but we now that Magneto did. Doom maybe smart batman like, but magneto Controls more than metal. He could essentially kill doom without even needing to be around him. He could simply sense him from his satellite and crush him, reverse the blood flow or heat the iron in his blood to boil him from within. Thats just a few and all this from outside of latveria. Doom is awesome but extremely over hyper and popular. He loses to a team of 4 regularly. It takes entire squads of xmen to take magneto down. Even the world's most powerful psychic and the phoenix force could not do it. More often than not, magneto chooses to let his enemies live.

I would not be surprised if doom has a database of every superhero and mutant, and has developed a contingency to fight all of them.

I love Magneto, but in spite of his godlike (and elemental) versatility with magnetism, he's still a one trick pony. Doom is Batman with truly scientific and magical genius with a counter for everything thrown at him. Doom it is.

Mageneto SHOUld win but let’s face it…Doom is simply WRITTEN to be unbeatable. He steals powers fromSilver Surfer, Galactus, the BEYONDER, ect. All those beings are far beyond Magneto’s scope. In a way that make Doom less interesting because there is no no way he could lose. The way he is written. The fact that he is almost Dr Stranges equal in the Mystic Arta, has armor almost if not equal to Iron Man-and is at the i relle Tula level of agreed Richards already makes him overpowered. Like a Grant Morrison ‘Bat God’ on super steroids.

Mags wins this. Creates a black hole surrounding Doom, then a full cascade of the entire electro magnectic spectrum. Dooms armor wouldnt be able to take the entire spectrum. He still has to think while being engulfed in Erics power.

Doom is just another op plot character . Writers decide if he wins . If we're going one on one as the characters I'd take magneto. Just because at the end of the day Doom is human with iron in his blood

Doom is encased in metal. Not a hard concept to determine who wins.

The problem is with magic. You have to actually make words or weave your hands around while magneto just needs to think and it instantly happens. Example of this that didn't work out so well is when world war hulk smash the hands of Doctor Strange who is arguably more powerful than Dr. Doom. Hulk beat him by instantly smashing his hands before he could do anything. Magneto would do the same thing. Now if Doom have prep time yeah he would win just the same as Dr strange would have beat world war hulk.
