This will work out if you have scope equipment. Good for those. Me I can tell duty cycle on 555 timer if I put a bigger cap on it to slow oscillation. Might got more out of it if you can tell without scope.

I want to correct the author a little, the microcircuits of this series differ from each other, for example, UC3842/44 is different from UC3843/45, instead, 42 is interchangeable with 44, similarly to 43 and 45. the best option for the construction of power supply units is microcircuits of the 2842/43/44 series /45- the temperature range is different. we carefully read the datasheet and look at some power parameters and voltages at the outputs of microcircuits.

Sir, I have one uc3845 on welding machine and I find these values : vcc 12.2v, vref 5v, output 1.3v DC and 0.2v AC, frequency on output 96kHz and duty cycle 11%. How can I find 96kHz frequency ? I think I have to measure output in AC not DC is that right ? Output goes on MOSFET gate and I have 378v DC between drain and source. Do you think my IC is dead ? Thank you for any help

Hello! I assembled the circuit and it worked perfectly. I made a small modification to the output of IC pin 06. I replaced the 1K resistor R5 with a 2.2K one in series with an LED. With this modification, in the absence of an oscilloscope I can vary the brightness of the LED and observe the PWM modulation and make sure the IC is good.

HELLO SIR IS THE KA3843 SAME WITH CU3843? I REPLACE THE KA3843 BECAUSE ITS NOT SENSING THE BATTERY POWER (ALWAYS SHOWS BATTERY FULL EVEN WHEN I UNPLUGE THE POLES OF THE UPS FROM THE BATTERY AND HAVE 27.5 VOLTS OUTPUT ) WITH TH CU 3843 I HAVE BATTERY SENSING BUT 0V OUTPUT NOT CHARGINGTHANKS IN ADVACED
