Even microsoft has realized it is just expensive to keep up every 3 year cycle and getting a new console, sony can do whatever they want i mean they are already moving in to the ps6 but nintendo doesnt want to conform to the norm of the industry and as i was saying even microsoft is seeing the benefit in slowing down the production of new consoles. SOme say its the death of the console but i really see it as they got so wrapped up i. tryi g to compete it ended up costing them more money and they lost profits trying to come out with a console every three years. SO nintendo doing what they do best and go at their own pace realized hiw much more beneficial it is to slow down and milk it. Cause its lost profits with a perfectly good system.
Sure im with its well overdue for a new switch but from the bottom line standpoint thats a lot of money that could have been but wasnt.
As for the size i feel its going to be about the same or at least the dock will be capable of utilizing both switches kind of how the nds had gba and ds attachment sure hopefully the new system is a little bigger cause i rarely use handheld mode too due to the small joysticks/joycons. I prefer using my pro controller almost 95-99% of the time.

Gotta hard disagree about the potential return of circle pads, they were one of the most interesting aspects of the 3DS and I could absolutely see them trying them again; especially if the console is indeed significantly thicker overall, where the lack of floppy protrusions could go a long way in keeping the thing (theoretically) pocket-able. I really just hope they take the joycon concept more seriously this time around in general though. Special edition shells are fun, but they could have taken it SO much further. Variants with different joystick heights or gates, a proper D-pad, mirrored rather than staggered layout, etc. When the Switch was revealed I assumed that was the entire idea behind the interchangeable controllers, but then it just never happened beyond a few third-part attempts, which baffles me to this day.
