When you talk about "high pitch hearing loss", what are you referring to? What khz range are we speaking about? Thanks

mates avoid all electronic devices, dryers, electric toothbrushes, drills, if put to the ear, cause strong electromagnetic waves, certain frequencies cause tinnitus

God forbid we find a cure for tinnitus. That's a multimillion dollar Industry shutting down overnight. I would take what you hear here with a pinch of salt. There are ALWAYS commercial interests at play in our world!

Thank you for the amazing video doc!

Also Dr. Ben Thompson, I see that you completed your training at UCSF Medical Center, one of the best medical programs in the state of California,. My question for you is, during your training and years of practice did you ever come across other health professionals (PA, NP, MD, PT, OT, etc.) who completed their training with tinnitus or who are currently practicing? I want to pursue a career in the health professionals but with my tinnitus I have so many doubts. If you could share any success stories about professionals with tinnitus that would be very much appreciated. Thank you for all of your hard work.

The biggest mistake made with respect to any ‘sound therapy’ with any device not occluding the ears is to state “and just get on with your life”… but hang on… when you were getting on with your life without tinnitus you weren’t listening to frogs! But I am not disparaging sound therapy at all.
A month ago I had a rather dramatic shift in my tinnitus… I am unsure where it is going to go but my legacy tinnitus from July 2022 (after having C19), ceased on 11th Feb 2024… I shall describe that this tinnitus, whilst manageable was having a far more negative impact on me and having worked very hard with sound therapy throughout all of 2023, habituation was occurring… it was a hard slog. But a month ago I had to stop a smoke alarm that i could not switch off and my left ear took a terrible hit… but get this… my inner brain tinnitus (if you want to call it that) ceased and the new tinnitus felt like it was now more directly in my left ear… all that hard work was undone!!! But a month later with much apprehension and frustration I embarked for what is like the 3rd significant change and it has seemed far better, so an unfortunate encounter with a smoke alarm although upsetting at the time, HAS shifted my tinnitus… this isn’t to say blast your ears with an alarm, but I know there has been a shift… how the heck do you try and explain this to an ear specialist or worse an audiologist?… I’d like to say that hearing is NOT what everyone says it is … Dr Ben is though on the right track and the only person I trust as he works emphatically to help us all…
I am by accident on the mend??? This disorder can be conquered! Peace out to all.

Dear Dr.Ben, I am so happy I found you during searching any info about new things for me : Tinnitus. This is my story: i got invitation for free hearing test in my area which has been provided by Miracle-Ear and I went just to check because I did not do it for all my life even though I don't have problem with hearing that time. but I have it now when after 2 weeks i got unstoppable noise in ears! In Google I learn that I got nasty decease called Tinnitus (From Greek myphology ?) and it doesn't have cure! My first thought was to sue Miracle-Ear, but then I start looking for information. I come across some (not many) people who have the same stories but no one ENT Doctor mentions it as cause of Tinnitus. You are the most informed person in this area, what you can say about it. Can Audiotest (device or settings) affect on ear-nerve-brain system and cause Tinnitus? Thank you very much

I have had these for 6 weeks and I love them. Instant relief and sound therapy. Stick on works fine, I take them off sometimes if I am going to a meeting and dont want everyone to notice them but look forward to putting them back on. Highly recommend them as a great tool in the toolbox.
