Muay Thai and BJJ are so dope .. the perfect dichotomy .. yin & yang ..
ОтветитьAmazing, I love it!
ОтветитьHey dude I also do Bjj and boxing focused Muay Thai!
ОтветитьKru would you say you prefer muay thai with bjj together or do you think pure mma is more effective?
ОтветитьWhat a stupid and pointless video
ОтветитьThank you, coach! I am currently taking Muay Thai under Cosmo Alexandre. But I am looking to add jujitsu to my base. I like the way you think 🤔 I will be following a similar martial arts journey.
ОтветитьBeing able to walk on land and swim in the sea is an awesome analogy, been training bjj for 3 years and blue belt but started doing muay thai 8 months ago, a person really takes the nuances of each art for granted until you try it, feel very overwhelmed in muay thai still but hopefully over time like when I started jiu jitsu I will adapt to being uncomfortable eventually
ОтветитьThese are your INNER TACTICS!
ОтветитьWell said
ОтветитьYour doing a great thing professor ''Oss'' 🤙🙏🥋🥊
ОтветитьYour perspective with learning grappling and striking is great, I see it the same way
ОтветитьLong term Isshinryu karate student here. I have often tapped out BJJ black belts who had as many as 20 professional wins in MMA.
A few months ago, I met a BJJ black belt who was starting Muay Thai training. I demonstrated to him a true isshinryu right cross on his heavy bag and also demonstrated an Isshinryu front thrust/push kick. He told me, "Don't worry about your age. If you ever hit someone that hard, it's going to seriously mess them up."
I responded, "That was the point."
Isshinryu Karate has been combining grappling and striking since long before UFC and ONE were even founded. I know close to 300 unique submissions from the Shorinryu side of Isshinryu karate. Most of these submissions are legal in the UFC, but the fighters there have never seen nor heard of them.
I just moved from a small town to a bigger city and finally have access to jujitsu and Muay Thai classes. My opinion this is the best combination of offense and defense and the classes I’ll be taking include aggressive offensive wrestling. For me personally this is the best because I’m looking at going into Law Enforcement.
ОтветитьIf someone has a wrestling background then it will be easy for them to adapt to bjj and striking. But if someone didn't wrestle, they should definitely combine bjj and muay thai while also emphasizing on getting good at boxing in muay thai. Years ago when I was new to bjj I rolled with a killer blue belt who did bjj for about 3 years and got his purple belt in his 4th year. I asked him if he trained in other styles before bjj and hew said he had a background in muay thai. Years later it now makes sense for why he was such a skilled grappler in a very short period of time despite not wrestling in school.
There are so many similaraties in muay thai and bjj that go perfectly with each other as they both rely on leg and hip movement. All of the knee strikes, kicks, elbows, clinches and other movements transition to bjj for shrimp and other position escapes, guard passes, good top pressure and many submissions.
I find a lot synergy between muay thai and judo, boxing and freestyle wrestling is great too.
ОтветитьMuayThai without elbows and knees just not MuayThai.
Ответить🙏
ОтветитьKinda like karste and judo
ОтветитьI'm from morocco ,I trained under an MMA coach in casablanca who used to teach us ground game where he mixed elements of BJJ , Judo and Freestyle wrestling and standing game in which he teach bases of Muay tai , boxing , kickboxing and I remember that he always repeated a million times during training sessions :" Never think of MMA as many martial arts and never think that you're training many things ,always remember that MMA is one sport not many , be a striker , and wrestler ,and a grappler."
ОтветитьI’ve never seen a chunky boxer. I’ve seen a lot of thick BJJ guys though.
ОтветитьCan you Train This combo 7 days week as you Train different Parts of your Body and its different
ОтветитьFirst time trying Jiu-jitsu this week. Been doing Muay Thai for over a year and still so anxious about my first class, this video is a bit reassuring
ОтветитьI'm looking to get into Marshall arts when I'm done with sports and I have pretty close to zero experience in any type of martial art. I've been doing some digging into doing BJJ and Muay Thai to learn new skills and be able to defend myself. Do you think it would be possible to learn two different martial arts at the same time. I want to keep doing the sports I do, so I'm obviously going to have to do some compromising for recovery sake and time constraints
ОтветитьNow fight in water
