Yes cutting them in half tells us how durable they are cause that's what normal people do
ОтветитьYea cause im gonna cut my shoe in half for views
ОтветитьI just receive my order today this kind of shoe, and I'm shock cause its very light the weight. And I thought its fake. Thats why I search on utube the review of this shoe and I saw this vdeo.
ОтветитьThey look like they would be ideal airport shoes.
Ответитьive has these shoes for over a year wearing them pretty regularly and i think theyve held up pretty well better than regualr converse plus the clear part hasnt yellowed at all
ОтветитьI have now had two pairs of these, both the same as the one in the video except in white and with a green sole on the recent one. As a huge fan of Chucks (I own over 20 pairs) I rate these pretty highly.
They are the best Chucks for wearing in the summer. Yes the bouncy sole is comfortable but the biggest thing for me is the liner. That material is very slippery which greatly reduces rubbing when wearing then with low cut socks. That is a huge improvement of the simple canvas in regular Chucks.
The downside is the durability however it didn't wear out in the way you suggested, for me at least. The sole hasn't worn smooth but rather has picked up small rips and tears. My bikes pedals are particularly bad for leaving these marks. This isn't a major issue though. The bigger issue for me is the general construction of the shoe has come "loose" I guess. The layers of the upper have delaminated which makes them less comfortable to wear. I may be partly responsible because I did put the first pair through the washing machine a few times to try and keep them white and this really seemed to do a number on them. Won't be doing that with the second pair. Also the slippery lining seems to last much better than the standard canvas, particularly on the heel counter.
As you say in the video and other have in the comments, it's such a shame that more thought wasn't put into the shoe. There are elements to this that I wish they would take into all Chucks (e.g. the liner) and parts of them are brilliant but I guess what I'm really asking for is Chuck 2s to come back or even for Chuck 3s to get made?
Have you ever sliced the bejesus out of your hand?
ОтветитьWell i don't think I've ever seen someone use a knife that made me shut my eyes, i'm surprised he's still got all his fingers.
ОтветитьI dunno man, im an all star converse fanatic
ОтветитьI’ve owned a pair of cx cons for about six months now using them as work shoes, and honestly I’m very surprised. They aren’t splitting on the toe box like my regular chucks, I assume due to the stretch canvas, the foam hasn’t split or torn on the bottom, the tread has stayed very intact and grippy, and the rubber seems to be splitting off the side of the sole at a slower rate than my regular chucks. The only real issue I have is the very top of the upper has stretched just due to wear (and possibly me liking my cons too tight) but it looks kinda funny. Overall honestly they don’t deserve some of the abuse other comments here are giving them, they’re a cheap, comfortable shoe that wear like a chuck, have some really cool colors available and have thoroughly impressed a converse fan. (For reference I work 40 hours a week in a non climate controlled warehouse walking and lifting decently heavy weight on unfinished concrete, operate forklifts and other heavy machinery, and drive a solid 2-2.5 hours a day)
ОтветитьI would love a Chuck with a classic Nike sole like the AF1 or an Air Max sole.
ОтветитьYeah you cut those dirty shoes in half
ОтветитьI had them in grey with lime green sole, they are very confortable, but they were destroyed in 3 months!
70s on the other hand last years for me.
Just got my CX explore desert sunset. Comfortable from first wearing. The stretch canvas appears to be tough and light. I will be wearing as my primary sneaker for the next few weeks.
ОтветитьBro knows these are an advanced basketball version of the chucks right? Not a style shoe😂
ОтветитьI have a pair of these and I’ve worn them almost every day for a year and not only are they one of the most comfortable pairs of shoes I’ve ever owned, they’re holding up really well
Ответитьi wish i could buy chucks II again best converse shoes i had
Ответитьhere in Brazil we don't have this model I want to buy one so bad.....
ОтветитьI had a pear of chunk 70s and they only lasted 4months 😰
Ответить“ONLY” ~~~ a $75 shoe. mate that’s before shipping and taxes. could be closer to $100 after all of that. not a “cheap” shoe by any means. maybe if you can catch it on sale. i just got my chucks for $35 on the website and they’re way sicker than these. hopefully will last longer too.
ОтветитьThese are one of my most comfortable shoes. They are also quite sturdy. I use them as my everyday sneaker
ОтветитьIf you dont want them, gift it to me D':
ОтветитьThree layers of foam make it comfortable and soft then the stable board, and foam now a days last longer than rubber especially the thin rubber they put in shoes it's like the Curry foam it last longer I bet you🤙
ОтветитьWhat?! $75?! I just buy these CTAS CX yesterday for $100 at Converse Store Bali.
ОтветитьHad a pair and used it as my go to shoes when working in hospitality, after a year or so the outsole is actually holding up quite well. However like with all converses the the foxing will come apart near stress points and the heel counter could probably only last another 2-3 months before it’s fully gone.
ОтветитьHad these for 2 years now. Solid shoe but my bottoms are starting to wear down a lot. I live in the city so I've put serious miles on these. I'd buy again.
ОтветитьAnything to avoid means Hella deals out there. No one will care. Buy them.
ОтветитьI have 3 pairs of these now, wayyy more comfy than the 70s or Allstars. they’ve lasted longer I think due to the flexibility in the sole and the canvas. Easy to take on and off.
ОтветитьI actually really liked these. The sole was actually really comfy and the stretch fabric was really noticeable.
ОтветитьI want to like chucks but they look like clown shoes
ОтветитьConverse needs to bring back those chuck II's with the lunarlon insoles!
ОтветитьI met my ex girlfriend because of those shoes
ОтветитьLove your videos. Could you review the Converse Chuck 70 plus in a future video?
ОтветитьI have been wearing my pair, exact same as in the video for as long as they have been out, and they are still in brand new condition. They got dirty once and I threw them in the machine, and washed up beautifully. I guess they made it with the foam so they can be washed and dry out fine without going bad or brittle. I have absolutely nothing bad to say about these shoes! I have really broad feet, and the stretch helps immensely. Best shoe that "I" have worn, and I have also tried a lot of shoes.
ОтветитьDude, say what you want about build quality, legacy, comfort, whatever…those shoes look crazy.
ОтветитьBro, listen, these shoes with those stretchy shoelaces. UGH! sooo comfy. Not the best for standing all day, but pretty good for walking all day. (I'm thinking, for like a theme park or going to the park, these are ultra comfy, took them to work once though, and stnding in place without moving, after a while, felt like normal chucks, walking is their speciality. These should be marketed as walking shoes for sure).
Ответитьbought the low version for only $30 aud. theyre my first pair of converses that ive had and the first time i tried them on i thought i was walking on a cloud haha
ОтветитьJust copped 'em. I did not want to buy them, I wanted a GTX Chuck boot with GoreTex, but I was between sizes in the models they had in the store, the same with Cordura models. I wanted a "special fabric Chuck" and the guys showed me these CXs (it's the black and blue model with the laces that go between the tongue, the A04524C model number, more subdued and more suitable for my age) and I was sold on the confort and easy taking off and putting on. Very comfy; I applied special transparent shoe waterproof spray on them and now they are water resistant and I love them so far.
ОтветитьSir, can you just givin to me that cloud..
I need it 😢😢
I hope they cx outsole like curry shoes grip but silent
ОтветитьI’ve worn these like a uniform since 1985. Anyone else notice the quality has gone down tremendously in recent years? The soles are made of noticeably poorer quality rubber that dries and cracks before the shoe is even broken in. The eyelets turn carbon black because the alloy formula was changed as well. I heard Converse sold to the Chinese around 2012. Don’t think I will be buying Converse anymore sadly.
ОтветитьI got a pair of leather chucks and they're one of my best shoes. INCREDIBLY durable and really damn comfortable. My best winter shoe. 4 years old now and they're in fantastic shape.
ОтветитьHow long did they last you when you wore them?
ОтветитьI have a pair of converse chucks taylor all star in shoe size US 18. The shoes have an approx. 10 mm thick and removable insole. Why are the insoles of the shoes you show in the video so thin?
ОтветитьThis seems to be quite popular, they still release new models. I like the new ones that forgo the aluminum eyelets and use strings instead 😊 If you want more outsole durability, bring them to a cobbler to put additional vibram outsole.
Ответитьslippery they are. durability of the is 50/50. Fabric goes out of color pretty quick (1year for orange ones), the outsole holds pretty well. The wear does not happen much.
Thickness of the sole itself is noticable, when you switch from classics, getting rid of the white matter might solve some of it. Stretchy fabric is must have for it, thats what makes it cloudlike. Shoes are still very narrow at the front.
In high school (1990) I got some blue cons. These converse today are way different. They feel much better. The old school cons were a thin canvas and hard ass sole.
On a teenager’s foot it’s not a big deal. On a middle aged adult’s foot comfort is a must.
Vans did a similar thing with their popcush. I hated original vans back in the day. Feet killers. But with that popcush they’re way better.
😢😢😢😢😢😢
ОтветитьMan they do look cool, but man the clear plastic sole will look really bad over time for sure…..
Ответить
