Today, we cross the Eastern Carpatians from Moldavie to Transilvanya, two regions from Romania.
The road is mostly trought the mountains and you’ll see beautiful forests, pitoresque villages, and wild nature.

We start from Târgu Neamț, a small town located in the "land of monasteries."
This name, “Land of Monasteries,” comes from the fact that within a 15 km (9.3 mi) radius of the town, there are six Christian Orthodox monasteries.
A few hundred meters above the town, on a rock overlooking the surroundings, stands Neamț Fortress. Târgu Neamț is also one of the starting points for the Ceahlău Massif, one of the most beautiful mountains in Romania, with a height of 1907 m (6,257 ft) and many tourist trails.
At Poiana Largului, we have a breathtaking view of Lake Bicaz. In the middle of the water, there is a stone called the Devil’s Rock by the locals.
The legend says that God became angry with the people. The devil suggested punishing them with a flood like the one from Noah’s time, hoping to win control over the world. Full story in video.
Borsec is a town well-known for its spas and mineral waters. There are many mineral water springs in Borsec and the surrounding areas, each with different chemical compositions and healing properties. These springs are the economic engine of the town. In fact, Borsec mineral water is one of the most recognised waters found in any Romanian store.
As soon as we leave Borsec, we enter the Creangă Pass, perhaps the most beautiful part of the trip.
Toplița is a town with a very interesting history. The documents reveals that the settlement was founded by Petrichevich Horvath Kozma, an army captain originally from Croatia. Over time, the captain became a prefect and later a royal court judge. He died in 1590, but his descendants still live today. Full story in video.
Reghin is nicknamed “The City of Violins” or “New Cremona” with the great concert halls of the world resonating with the sound of violins crafted here.
Born with the gift of shaping the noblest musical instrument, the violin, Reghin’s luthiers - whether Romanian, Hungarian, or Saxon - have become famous for the artistry and sensitivity with which they practice this craft.
