Yesterday I uninstalled all Adobe CC from my PC after years of using them. When Adobe swiched to the Cloud system I made certain that all my camera photos got copied to my back up drive. Why would i trust any company to keep all my images safe ? I only used Bridge as a library but Adobe have become evil, so fk you adobe. There are better options out there. For 5 years now i have OWNED Affinity Photo and will never use another adobe product again. adobe is doomed. 🙂

What this video misses like all the others, I think, is that while we all feel vindicated somehow by the lawsuit, the stock price is pretty consistently stable, even after this what should be devastating shifts in consumer loyalty. So..Adobe be like, f*ck y'all losers, we still own you.

Basically, Creative Cloud was malware. Now I know why my Mac would barely run and frequently froze whenever I downloaded Creative Cloud.

Now we see why Steve Jobs—whose company barely gives you a charging cord or even just a box anymore—thought Adobe was an evil company.

On principle I would never use any subscription product where you don't buy the product outright. It's pure greed and avarice by Adobe in this instance.

I cancelled my Adobe CC a week ago. I just use an old version instill own. Fk em. I been using adobe for 20 years since i was in college. When we got a student version for class. Ive been payin for CC for the last 4 years. ...i canceled it last week and just use my old version. Subscription models are a plague. Fight back every way you know how

I think companies who use Adobe software should fund open-source projects.
Also, I wonder how many people just stick to the last non-SaaS version of Photoshop and still use it. I guess it is still fine for many use cases but I don't use Photoshop so I may be wrong.

I bought the last version of Adobe master suite that was available and installed it on a machine that NEVER goes online

I recommend CUTE PDF for all your PDF needs. I bought my download at least 15 years ago, it works great and I’ve never had any issues installing it. Best of all it’s affordable and you only pay once!

Adobe is repugnant! I’ve dealt with several of the problems mentioned here. I use CUTE PDF for all my PDF printing, but there are no alternatives for Photoshop and Illustrator. I bought a copy of student version of CS2 while taking a desktop publishing course, and it works well for my needs, I’m no expert but I know enough to meet my needs, so why should I buy anything else. I actually tried using CS5, but it was completely different than CS2. To upgrade I’d have to take more classes. It’s time for me to buy a new laptop and I get so nervous every time I buy a new one that it won’t let me install Photoshop or Illustrator.

I dumped Adobe years ago and have found that free open source imaging software is more than enough for my needs. Feck Adobe.

Adobe and Pro Tools have gone really down hill with predatory subscription service. I use Reaper for audio and camcut for video and have no problems.

It was impossible to cancel my Adobe Acrobat without getting ripped off. I ended up blocking my card and deleting the account. They are crooks.

Adobe analogy:
You plant a seed that grows into an orange tree in your backyard. Adobe rents you a tree trimmer. You use that tree trimmer unaware you're giving Adobe all rights to that tree. Adobe then comes and harvests all the oranges. They make orange juice. Then sell you orange juice priced as exotic elixir under an annual contract. After a few weeks or months, you realize you're just buying orange juice, that was yours to begin with, but you cannot get out of the contract without paying for the remainder of the year and you'll need a legal expert to do so.

What Adobe has done is take what has been a common practice and corrupted it much worse than it already was. They have brought widespread attention to all such practices. I now wish I had a button on my browser that would turn off any content I receive that's been created or finished using Adobe. That'll learn'm. Haha! We need a "no Adobe" filter. Can't we get Gen Z to shame them from their safe zones? Probably wouldn't be hard to fend them off. Just do an ad with pink hair and a nose ring. Ok, that was mean. I know they can't all be that screwed up.

I personally do not have a problem with paying a subscription for a good software, I do it with other SaaS platforms, have a problem with their Mafia like practices and underdeveloped software, that is why I left Adobe years ago.

Lol, I don't get it why consumers are angry due to cancelation fees. It is normal to pay early cancelation fee if you sign up for a YEARLY plan (since you obliged to use the service for a year, hnce you receive cheapre monthly payment). If you don't want to sign-up for yearly, sing up for simple monthly plan and pay more per month. Same business model is being used everywhere.. Mobile phone service, home internet, gym memberships.. You sign-up a contract for a one-two year time and if you decide to cancel early, you will obviously have to pay cancelation fee, which is calculated based on the amount of obliged subscription you have left. THE MAIN PROBLEM HERE IS THAT PEOPLE ARE STUPID and don't knwo what they are signing up for.. They just see a cheaper monthly price and go for it without even lifting a finger to check WHY the monthly payment are cheapre in the first place, rather than regular monthly plan.

i need to use indesign for my work. my client will only supply up to the minue indd fies so i amforced into usign this software. if i dont,i dont get any work, i amliterally unable to use another competing product becuase the customer doesnt know any better. its killing me inside.

If someone is going to charge $400 to cancel something, change your credit card and don't give them the new one. Cancel the old card instead. Or just read what you buy in the first place.
