I'm almost done shopping for all of our nieces and nephews because I've been shopping since Target's summer toy clearance started. My 5 year old has been a challenge because he doesn't like typical things kids do. He is only recently interested in Lego and Thomas the Train, but we already have a fair amount of both. He also has his own library. I'm trying so hard not to over do it this year!

You did it! I got up and went in my kitchen and cleaned under the sink!! I have doing a massive decluttering too!

Toy decluttering is the best!! I need to go through my daughters Barbie's with her. There is no need for 20 plus Barbie's 😂😂. She doesn't play with them much anymore. I read the Magic Tree house series with my daughter, too. They are in her keep basket. Take care, Megan ❤️

Hi Megan I think you should teach your daughters to declutter for themselves during the school holidays or one weekend. It will give them some independence for their future in life. I don't mean this in a wrong way. I did the same thing when my daughter was younger and I am glad I did. She has her own apartment now and is even much cleaner than I am sometimes. 😂😂😂😂. And you will have more time for yourself to do other things. Can't wait to see your next video.

Why don't you hang the blanket ladder on the door it takes less room than sticking out on the floor, my ironing board and iron are hung on the inside of the door that leads under the stairs. It's all organised. It's what you would call a small closet xx I can't go see wrapping the presents and your Christmas decorations sending love from the UK xxx

It's hard to let go of stuff as they get older. I have bins full of keepsakes... some of their favorite toys, my favorite outfits, etc. I thought they might like to have it all someday. My youngest is almost 16 now, and I still have all of their My Little Ponies. I just can't part with them!

I’ve been watching your videos since day 1 and omg, Megan I remember watching the video of when this was a play room for your girls, the Barbies, dolls, kitchen, all the toys where you were tiding and sorting. And it’s a beautiful family room. Seeing our children grow up is hard as we want them to stay as children for a little longer why we watch them play. Well done, you got rid of so much. I love the feeling after a declutter. I don't remember my mother ever doing this when we were little, but we didn't have so many toys anyways. I feel nowadays everyone accumulates more stuff and even my mom needs to declutter her basement.
I think its interesting that you felt you had to come up with christmas ideas yourself. Why didn't you only get them what they had on their wishlist? I think as long as its quite even between siblings there is no need to get X amount of stuff.

We are renovating my kids' bedroom. All of their stuff has been in my living room for a couple weeks. My goal is to go through their toys on Saturday to purge a bunch of them to make room for the Christmas toys and then to just move stuff that they dont play with to their next home.

lol I am the organization artist I can’t do clutter n my son is the clutter artist lol but he likes when i organize he try’s to keep it clean for the most part but yeah u cant with him meanwhile mines is so organized he ask for my things instead of his own. I used to do art and animation and 3d arts 1-7 as well as sketch n sculpture so I get it lol.

Instead of throwing away your dried play doh, you can make it soft again. It not only saves time and money, but you also save on our environment. You just need to run your dry play doh under water or dip it in a bowl of water. Just make sure the entire outside of the play doh has been coated with water. Knead water into your play doh until the water is fully incorporated and your hands are no longer wet when handling the dough. Just repeat everything until it's the right consistency again. ♥️

Great motivation

When you get sad because you realize your girls are growing up look at what they do and how they act and think “we did that”. “We’ve raise such good people”. That’s what my husband and I do. Our two are 29 and 25 now. They still hit new plateaus and it’s so rewarding to think we did it. 😊

I set alarms on my phone for kids pick up. It has helped me so much much!
