I do not believe a narcissist is made, they are born! At least 80% of the personality is what they were born with! They cannot be fixed! Someone with childhood trauma can be healed! Narcissists do not have childhood trauma that can be fixed…Dr Robert Hare! Obviously not believed after a 100 years of the childhood trauma idea! They are pathologically deceitful, whereas someone with trauma cannot be pathologically deceitful! It is a personality trait of a narc and always has a pattern…trauma sufferers do not display this trait. There is no correlation between being traumatized and being pathologically deceitful! They are not victims of trauma, have no remorse and will never have remorse! Let’s not romanticize this trait, it is all pervasive and damaging to anyone near such a person! Let’s not say ‘shame, you had a terrible childhood!’ This does not fly anymore…narcs use this to look vulnerable, they aren’t vulnerable at all, they have just learnt to use this to conjure up some sympathy and have an excuse to treat everybody with disdain and be cruel! Why does therapy not work for narcs? They do not have trauma, never had trauma!😊

Can narcissists get better if they want to? If they work hard? I’m married to a narcissist who has displayed psychopathic behaviours. It’s very difficult for me and my daughters.

If you enter a room the day after you had an argument with the narcissist and she freezes with glassy eyes, is that injury or humiliation? what is that? It is quite crazy to watch.

Prof Vaknin... please shed some lights on "Double Binds" and it's effect on a child. Can a child become schizophrenic? Can a malignant narc mother can cause schizophrenia in her daughter????????

What a freaky world we live in. I am so confused all the time in general for as long as i can remember. These videos have brought some clarity and comfort.

Emotions, positive emotions are so important. I think religion is right when it stresses that
we should be grateful as often as possible, at least once a week. Love is so important. Caring is so essential.
What should be do with narcissistic people ? Should we have a collective response? Should we have only personal responses, that is flight once we have spotted them?
I guess that revolutions, very unstable political situations, give the possibility to narcissistic people to come into power (napoleon, hitler, stalin, ...). What organizations should we have to avoid the rise of narcissistic people? What are the specific training people should get so that has a people they don't elect or promote narcissists?

I literally made the same comparison yesterday with AI.
We fear giving AI total control because we can task it with helping humanity, and it can just decide killing all humans is the best option. It's the same shit.

Prof. Vaknin, huge admiration for your bravery and human perspective! How can the mortification of a narcissist be recognized by others? Any features that could be defined? Any tangible signs? Please create a video to help identify a recently mortified narcissist!
