If you simply go by the iONNA curve graph, you're not going to notice a peak unless it's way off the shart and sustained. So he could have hit a peak of 183 to 185 briefly, but the average was around 180kW, so that's what the graph will display as the curve.

This is awesome news!. I was planning to stop in Valdosta for my first EV road trip next month and this station is near the chargers I planned to stop at (on the same street). It looks like I will be able to get a bite to eat with the family at the Cheddar's that is in the same parking lot.

I still want an Ionna station in the Westfield IN area. There's a perfect spot on the north side of town off US31 that fits with how and where their sites are located. Lots of reasons:

- It will get all the commuters coming from the cities to the north who are working in the Indy area.
- Grand Park (a huge sports complex) is right down the road. People come from all over the country throughout the year to play games/tournaments.
- There's multiple hotels in the area (for the sports).
- There's also several apartment complexes all over the area for those that can't charge where they live
- There's several fast food places and a gas convenience store to walk to.

Nice for the Valdosta charger! been on road trips thru there on 75 many times. There's also a Tesla charger there too, so 4 chargers in that town now. For the Ionna charger, it's right near a Hampton Inn too, so you can go there for a nice clean public restroom 24/7. We usually use hotels for restroom stops on road trips and we've also stayed at that hotel in the past. Just walk in like you are a guest and head straight for the restroom if you need it! Looking forward to trying it out next road trip thru that way, which won't be till next year, but I should have my Gravity to try for that 400kw by the time I roll thru.

Good news for Rivian drivers that some kind of integration with Ionna is happening. Glad to see BP doing more rollouts too.

We have several (4?) Red E locations in West Virginia. The most used is in Elkins, WV @ Elkins Fordland. It is a bit expensive, but is the only DCFC for many miles. I have charged there several times and found the units worked seamlessly and the Ford staff are terrific. WV is a DCFC wasteland. I have also found Red E customer support to be superb. I hope they expand into not only our four interstate highways (64, 68, 77, 79) but also our intrastate corridors.

Thanks Walter for having me on. Now, after watching the video I shot of my charging, I can see I was wrong: there IS an Accept button and a Decline button. I guess I just didn’t want to wait NOR touch any buttons, but in the end, it’s only 15 seconds to wait if you don’t want to touch a button, so not sure what I was complaining about. Ha.

I keep noticing that there are no Drive through stalls in these charging sites. This is why trucks need the charging port in the front. They keep saying they are going to make pass through charging stalls but they are not doing it.

Ionna is supposedly building its first ever California station. And it’s only a couple miles from my house. I’ll have to drive by and see if there’s been any progress.

Glad to hear that Red-E is operating DC chargers that were run by defunct Enel-X NA.

Red-E operates L2 chargers in many small towns in Michigan. They were installed with Enel-X EVSE several years ago. Recently the Enel-X EVSE have been replaced with AUTEL units. IIRC, network support for the Enel-X units was shut off. They are not OCPP compliant, so they can’t use a different network to manage payments.

In Michigan Red E is essential in the rural areas. They need to address the UP!

On what mapping system will all these networks start to appear? It’s all wonderful news (Rivian owner, myself), but what is the best way to see Flying J, Ionna, Circle K, etc, consolidated, while on a road trip? I travel the country for work so looking forward to when we can easily pick and choose other than Tesla! Am I missing something easy?! Thanks!!

How do we as EV drivers get EV charging companies to come to the area. I live in North Reading Massachusetts and we don’t have any public EV chargers , AC or DC.
