Put bigger cams in the HEMI and it should blow that hurricane back out to sea. Add turbos to that setup, and that hurricane would cry!
ОтветитьFun review. I would state most people do not understand the need to let the need to let the turbo cool down before shutting off the engine.
ОтветитьI have a 2004 dodge ram 5.7 hemi, no troubles in 20 years. Time tested
ОтветитьThe Pentastar engine is still the most reliable engine period. Trouble free engine and last a lot longer then those Turbo charged online 6 or the Hemi engine.
ОтветитьPut a Jaguar engine in to it to get rid of the HEMI tick. This should also satisfy everyone who’s missing the V8.
ОтветитьThere is still a lot to do make the Hemis more fuel efficient without punishing performance
ОтветитьTell them how much a turbo will cost when it goes
ОтветитьTRUMP sed he's gon ban puss boy 4 cyl turboz. Thank Gawd!
Ответить8't no way some dmn lib takin my Hemi nless it's from ma cold ded hanz
Ответитьlol the hurricane is gonna be the death of the ram 1500 completely getting rid of the 5.7 hemi was a dumb idea they should have got rid of the 4 cyclinder eco mode and twin turbo the 5.7 mopar is a high horse power v8
ОтветитьMy 08 is considerable simpler. And paid for
ОтветитьThe hemi truck that people drive forever with is not the lifter tick, it's the exhaust manifold leaks that on the classic style would break the bolts off in the manifold. The new gen 19+ typically break the manifold themselves. 4.5 years in CDJR service
ОтветитьMy God, there is so much misinformation in this video!
ОтветитьThank you for doing what y’all do it is enjoyable to see and hear about the difference of models
ОтветитьTurbo and direct injection = carbon build up, heat and more products that can break down
ОтветитьI bought my 2024 back in March, happy to have the 5.7 old school Hemi. However I would probably now have waited for the hurricane and the better incentives now.I'm a sucker for the latest technology and willing to risk issues. The new motor looks awesome not to mention super fast.
ОтветитьOkay, really cool stuff, guys. I appreciate you taking the time to do a comparison between the outgoing drivetrain with the new one. You are essentially embodying my entire conundrum here, though. My husband and I actually recently traded in an Ecoboost F-150 for a Hemi Ram due to reliability concerns. Now - with that said, we also own a Ford Edge Sport with a gen one 2.7TT Nano, and it is so brutally fast and steadfast reliable I would never consider getting rid of it until it A.) doesn't make 18psi boost anymore, or B.) throws a rod through the side of the block, unlikely. Sometimes it just depends on whether you got one that was built on a Wednesday, or a Friday afternoon. But when it comes to my pickup, and how I want it to get me into an (preferably) out of the north woods of Maine, I will take a pushrod 5.7 Hemi any day of the week, thank you.
ОтветитьWe can see one has steel bumpers the other is a rubber bumper car and one has push rod engine the other has a overhead cam engine that is a nightmare to fix
ОтветитьElectric brakes is a accident looking to happen and ABS has caused a lot of accidents as well and if it has electric steering its a nightmare too
ОтветитьThe 440 engine should come back fast and furious
ОтветитьAll Chrysler 6 cyl engines are Junk now adding twin turbo these motors will be like GM T-type blowing up at 60k.miles
ОтветитьI passed by my local dealership yesterday and every RAM on the lot was gone. They still had Jeeps but now more RAM.
ОтветитьThat Tungsten should be bad ass for the price they are asking for it
ОтветитьKeeping my 2011 5.7 hemi forever.
ОтветитьThis is unwatchable garbage. Theyre like beavis and buthead on crack
ОтветитьI have the standard 5.7 hemi no turbo if i turbo this truck it is beeter than the hurricane ho?
ОтветитьIt's not an upgrade. It's a transgrade. To poopyville. Sorry RAM, my next is gonna be a GMC.
ОтветитьNo doubt 540 hp will be fast. Im more interested in a comparison of the standard output engine and the 5.7 Hemi. Oh, and by the way, the pre-e torque Hemi had the same hp and torque numbers as the e torque engine.
ОтветитьI bet they can't sell it at an affordable price. I would rather see Stellantis improve those numbers than any other.
There is higher maintenance costs with Turbos. You have to run direct injection turbo approve oil which is pricier oil at every oil change. Higher maintenance costs is true.
Can’t wait till you get an RHO review
ОтветитьIt's pretty much garbage vs less garbage lol. Both are Ram junk.
ОтветитьIt's HEMI for me. Would own a non Turbo Diesel 6 cylinder full size Truck under absolutely zero circumstance. This is America 🇺🇲
ОтветитьI had no idea you guys had so little subs. I’ve watched so many of your videos.
ОтветитьLove the video but why do you say “Motor” to describe an Internal Combustion Engine?
ОтветитьSuper unrelated to Ram, but I drove a 2022 Nissan Armada with their 5.6 liter V8 (400 HP and 413 lb-ft of torque) and I managed to pull a 5.2 second 0-60. I am in Texas with lower altitudes, and given I (being the driver) only weigh 135 lbs, I pulled that time, even in 2 wheel drive (I don't have a 4x4 system). I know you'll see 6+ seconds on google but I have the history on file, I pulled a 5.2.
ОтветитьCould that ram with the hurricane engine be modified to hold a hellcat engine?
ОтветитьBig block power in a small inline 6 spells boom big block with less pressure on the gas pedal with the same HP and TK I wish they would bring back the 340 440 426 hemi and the 326 hemi with the technology they have now would be great
ОтветитьI want to see the durability of the new Hurricane engine. My rule of thumb is wait for two years on a new tech to see how it holds up and what kind of issues it has over time especially after 100k mileage
ОтветитьSo many people hating on the i6, what’s the real world truth?
ОтветитьAnd if (or when?) there's a need for warranty coverage or repair, the stealerships might possibly he CLOSED...? NO WAY, regardless of those forged internals and 500+ hp! P.S. Since when has that ZF tranny become a paragon of reliability? I though they were widely recognized as being problematic even behind the 3.6l V6?
ОтветитьThat’s a 3.92 Tungsten vs 3.21 in the Hemi. Not a fair drag race
ОтветитьI couldn't care less about 0-60 which truck will hold up to towing better?
ОтветитьYour lack of understanding of the Etorque is embarrassing
ОтветитьRun 91+ octane, CAI, and tune... That Hemi will be alot closer.
ОтветитьI think I'll wait for a year or two before making this decision. Never buy the first year of a new product from ANY vehicle manufacturer. The 3l Hurricane seems like a good engine. But give it time and you'll see how many problems come to the surface. There is no replacement for displacement.
ОтветитьI'll never buy a foreign inline 6 junk they all ready have problems
ОтветитьAll the morons talk about sound...nothing beats a quit engine...
Ответить
