Can i get a. Dog in my backyard?

Here is a story, One day prophet Mohammed claimed he could have milk emerge from the ground, His plan was to hide the milk under the sand and proceed to puncture it with a stick lots of peoples gathered to witness this and he claimed to have done it because he was special. Until a dog dug in and dragged the milk out. Which he then proceeded to call the dog najas(unclean).

Why wouldn't you want to pet a pig? Did your Allah not create the Pig? If you love Allah you love all his creations regardless of halal or haraam....

Each to their own. Of course you can keep dogs in the house. Times have changed. We no longer live in the dark ages and Allah gave us a brain to think logically and sentimentaly with. Keeping dogs outside is abuse and it is not what Allah states. Some People really dont know Islam

The reason they can’t have dogs is because they’re saliva is considered insecure and dirty, but the thing is dog saliva is antimicrobial and helps heal wounds, so it doesn’t really make sense.

So in my home country where i go every year, there are homeless cats, dogs etc. And my cousin found a kitten and took it in(btw me and my relatives live there in one big house) everyone adored and loved the kitten,they fed it, gave it water and etc. First i was a bit skeptical but then i started bonding with her(btw we named her lily) so before going to bed i'd always go into the yard and pet lily , everything was so perfect and i thought to myself alhamdulilah for lily and our bond , i was quite sad when i had to go back to the country that i live in since i didnt get to see lily anymore but luckily my grandparents took care of her for nearly 2 months, and now a sad thing that happened, my uncle just went to my home country for vacation and i was excited to see lily so i face-timed him and he told me that.. someone took lily and renamed her.. my heart was broken and it still is.. im afraid that they will do something to lily , i am so worried about her, although she technically isnt my family's , i still see her like shes my family's and honestly i hope nothing happens to her , please make dua for her i deeply miss her
