PINAKBET (PART 1)

"Pinakbet" ( also called pakbet or pinakbet) filipino dish that is originated from northern region of the Philippines. Made from mixed vegetables such as eggplant, okra tomaoes, string beans, chilli peppers, para, bitter melon(ampalaya), ginger, onions, garlic, also optional we can add up some root crops like camote, Kalabasa.The word "pinakebbet" means "shrunk".
The original Ilocano recipe used bagoong (fermented mo amon or other fish for seasoning sauce.
Pinakbet is one of my favorite ilocano dish.
