I must admit that I was NOT using it correctly: I didn't use enough oil and that resulted in bad results. Then a light went on in my head and I started using avocado oil and wasn't stingy. Then everything worked out beautifully. And avocado oil is really beneficial.

Bottom line? I have two and would get another. Oh, and I use my original pan daily now.

Andrew, I have 3 hexclad pans and all three continue to be concave after 2 years (as per your "Warning") none are flattened. Here is what Hexclad said:

"In an effort to increase rigidity, each one of our products is designed with a slightly raised center. As you will see below in our “Cookware Convexity” table, each one of our cookware has a different level/ degree of convexity based on its size. This design is intentional and is the result of years of perfecting our product to avoid warping, something that you might see in other cookware that you may have purchased in the past.

Since this is not a defect, HexClad will unfortunately be unable to replace pans that exhibit a raised center right out of the box. We do apologize for any inconvenience."

So either your review is misleading *which I doubt", or Hexclad is misleading you. Thought you might lije to know. I wonder if any other customers have encountered this. Thanks, I do appreciate your reviews.

I just buy old griswold cast iron pans from flea markets, they work great, arent super heavy like new CI pans are and they hold their value. They are also not toxic like that non stick coating is if it gets over heated.

it has non stick coating so sooner or later coating will go away only difference is not sooner than non stick pan ..so they long lasting coating but not immortal because on high heat it will start loosing coating.... appreciate your reply

I just replaced all of my all clad cookware with hex clad. It is by far the best cookware I’ve ever owned. I kept all the cast iron I inherited and kept all of my Le Creuset. If you have an induction stove top nothing cooks as good as hex clad.

Just another gimmick! Searing requires use of high temperatures. This cookware is recommended for Medium temps, like most cookware. Teflon, which is usually what the nonstick material is made from, melts around 500 F, but I'm sure the pan will warp long before then. Stick to cast iron. With cast iron, I can sear a steak on high, then throw it in the oven under 450F to finish. I don't think these pans would survive in my kitchen. lol.

If the manufacturer is sending you their products to review (even if they are not paying you), and you promote affiliate links to purchase the items wherein you earn a commission, then it seems to me you are not totally unbiased. I question the recommendation to buy if that decision is helping you in some way because then its not unbiased as you have a business interest to promote the product. If you purchased these pans yourself and did not promote affiliate links, then I think you could make the claim of being unbiased. If you said you were giving a fair and honest review based on your experience and therefore were also promoting the product via affiliate links, I think that is a more credible statement. But let's be honest, your review is not unbiased.

I like how you completely passed over the fact that HexClad's made with PTFE coating, and didn't talk about the giant scratch/crack in the Hexclad pan you were showing. All PTFE and PFOA coated pans shed the non-stick coating over time with use, and especially when/if overheated. I can't see how having hexagonal shaped nubs changes that fact.

Well mine never flattened out, and actually warped more with using the induction burner, I sent them a picture and they admitted they were warped and said it was from rapid high heat, since I do not cook on high heat ever, especially when using nonstick pans, then it clicked on me that they did not warp until I started using them on my tabletop induction burner which rapidly heats up, and HexClad told me that this type of warping IS NOT COVERED UNDER WARRANTY. so I have two warped pans now

Gave up on all non-stick frying pans and baking sheets which are coated. These days I use stainless steel pans and aluminium baking trays. After 7 years yes they're scratched but perfectly fine to use and they are 100% clean, not a bit of burnt food or peeling PTFE on them. Just soak them and everything comes off. It's only when I burn food that I might use a brillo pad but I'd rather use a brillo pad on stainless steel than PTFE coated as it'll get damaged easily. My pans can take the toughest beatings and will last decades. Far safer to eat off, no cancer for me :)
