It’s only available to Logic users with M1 macs (not intel) unfortunately.

For those not using Logic there's a free program called Ultimate Vocal Remover which is fantastic for stem separation as well ;)

Would be interesting to know about VST plugins of the same type which we can use on normal PCs.

Ohhhh paranoid android brings back memories. Wish that Spotify did this for the vocals - they have the lyrics sunk to most tracks - being to click a button to mute the vocals in app would take it to the next level. This is still really cool for those who have the patience and software, though! Makes me wonder how many cool things I've missed.

Also that chorus isolated was really cool. Sounds even more haunting Acapella.

I've been using Ultimate Vocal Remover for the last month or so. Works perfectly with any song. Any song i've tried so far, anyway.

It seems that vocal removers will be of a little use to people who try to sing songs with all original vocals and instrumentals and then decide to remove only original vocals to make their covers.

Just use something like Pulse and any recording software.

Start recording, and then Pulse Audio pipe your monitor of your output as an input to the same program. Boom, there's your perfect noiseless sample.

A similar app that works as well, on Android, is Moises. The full version is paid but it's affordable, and it also has a free version that lets you do a few tracks a day.
Same thing, you need to have the song as a file (but it can record from your mic too), and will give you the option to separate just the vocals and instrumental, or go further and separate things such as vocals, drums, electric guitar, acoustic guitar, winds, etc.
It can also change the tempo, the key, show you the current chord, the lyrics, and has a song-parts detection feature (so you can loop specific parts, even if they're originally unconnected).

at least any song got extracted with Rock Band/Guitar Hero files.
