Policy has made it the way it is as well… keeping ordinary Americans with the bulk of taxes because there are many of us, and reared loop hole for the rich and corporations… because corporations have the rights of “individuals… unfair at best,

My belief is that Americans can’t help but look at their role as similar to that as a child in a family, with a traditional hierarchical structure. Those who are most comfortable with the idea of breaking from tradition are comfortable with learning new things and accepting difficult truths. Likewise, people who cling to old ways, find more comfort looking backwards and grouping themselves with others like themselves who remain on home soil and fear striking out on their own.

Ooo Anyone who does not believe and does not want to pay the debt that is owed to Black America, the American Descendants of Slavery, for all the injustices and ungodliness that this world, their world has done to Yah's People, well that is the very embodiment of racism. America's biased against the people that it has wronged shows on a daily basis when you see us in need and offer everything except what you can to truly aid in our repair. [Reparations] There are so many things that you cannot make amends for, but to not do what you truly can because it would really help lift us off the ground, that is the unadulterated manifestation of racism.
1 John 3:16-18
King James Version
16 Hereby perceive we the love of God, because he laid down his life for us: and we ought to lay down our lives for the brethren.

17 But whoso hath this world's good, and seeth his brother have need, and shutteth up his bowels of compassion from him, how dwelleth the love of God in him?

18 My little children, let us not love in word, neither in tongue; but in deed and in truth.

Preach.. George Floyd was a moment in time when alot of white people took notice of what happened.. Then when you saw lots of white people marching in the streets with Black Lives Matter sogns that was a bridge too far and they started trying to figure out how to regain control of the narrative because the regressive forces don't want white people looking deeper at race and absolutely don't want white people out marching side by side with blacks oh hell no if that happens they lose .

Just after the Emancipation Proclamation and around the turn of the 20th century, school curriculum began to change and the black experience was only taught in terms of how white America benefited. So we were taught about Frederick Douglas, for example, but not about Charles Remond or James W. C. Pennington. The choice here was based in fear, and it succeeded in producing generations of Americans who had very little knowledge of this important part of history. That fear is still there! But things are changing.

Such a great point about agency. This is a fundamental freedom that is part of a democratic society: the freedom to alter social and political organization. Graeber and Wengrow count this among the 3 freedoms that indigenous peoples had that we don’t necessarily have (the other 2 the freedom to disobey and the freedom to leave and be accepted elsewhere). This is ultimately about freedom.

I don’t think that it’s so much that many people want to engage with this history (as they don’t even know it exists) - but rather that those in or of power realize that if ignorance is dismantled that the hierarchy of wealth and power is then dismantled as well.

Far too many are afraid of history. No one alive now is responsible for slavery or the trail of tears. If you are triggered by things you learn you can grow from what you learn. The future deserves your attention to history.

They don't fear what fraudulent academia hid, as it's white supremacy sustenance, while fully embracing what they do know. They celebrate genocide every November while claiming to be Christian. And they aren't ideologically wrong, as organized religion has been a white supremacist force since the invasion of Egypt.

Everyone who loves their country to some extent is a "nationalist" so to use it in the negative is really a fallacy. Also, history isn't some obscure subject and children/adults have all the liberty in our country to explore many topics. You don't have to limit your knowledge because it's not on a school syllabus. Thank you❤🇺🇸
