I felt the same about Sleeping Gods. I thought this game would be like SG so I wasn’t interested, but I’ll check it out now since it isn’t. Thank you.
ОтветитьIt's a pretty fun game, though I don't know if it's much of a game, as much as it's just a "Hey, let's go over here and see what happens." Great writing, and I actually found it to be super relaxing to play. Sometimes that's all I need.
ОтветитьAwesome, I can't wait to get this to the table! Good stuff as always!!
ОтветитьThanks for reviewing this! I had seen this and it's great to have it covered by someone I trust. Depending on the price, I might pick this up when I can.
ОтветитьI'll have to see if I can fit this in during 2023.
ОтветитьOne of my goals for 2023 is trying some story games, and I heard Mike DiLisio raving about this one and it sounds like it might be a good fit for our playstyle/tastes, either this or Artisans of Splendant Vale. Interesting to hear your thoughts as I debate which one to dive into first
ОтветитьI might have to check this one out. One thing I really didn't like about 7th Continent was that failing meant replaying all of the same content all over again. Of course I could cheat it, but then what's even the point in playing the game at that point?
ОтветитьGreat review! Thanks!
ОтветитьGreat review! I completely agree on the prestige system. For me it almost gets in the way of the game, because it makes you focus on "points" and how to get them rather than true "free" exploration. But as you mentioned yourself, it's quite easy to just "ignore" it, especially in solo or coop plays.
ОтветитьThere's been so much good feedback about Lands of Galzyr that I am feeling really curious to try it out. Nice review Liz
Have you played Destinies? How do you compared it with Lands of Galzyr? Thanks!
Thank you for your thoughtful review, Liz! I'm so glad to see you did enjoy the game, even if it's not your go-to genre. It was definitely a tough balance to try to incorporate the prestige system. We felt it was necessary for some people to enjoy the game more, but at the same time, some don't "need" it. That's why we tried to make it somewhat easy to ignore, haha. 😊
ОтветитьLove the review! How would you compare Land of Galzyr to Legacy of Dragonholt? I've played through LoD recently and really liked it, and I'm a bit afraid I won't like Galzyr because of the app and the apparent "aimless wandering". What do you think?
ОтветитьThx for the review! Without giving too many spoilers (or ideally none at all) are there any magic/fantasy components to the story? I know it is set in a fantasy world, but there is a difference between fantasy and fantasy if you know what I mean. Is it kinda realistic, apart from the animals instead of humans? Or is there some sort of magic involved? Thx in advance!
ОтветитьThanks for sharing your perspective - sounds a game of relaxing adventure/discovery rather than tense challenges. A prettier alternative to Stardew Valley by the sounds of it.
