As a soccer player of over 20 years, this was/is the best moment of pro soccer I have ever witnessed

why do sports websites leave the leicester city legend out of their all-time greatest sports story history list? hardly any website acknowledges them… this story was beyond amazing! truly indescribable. it’s definitely up there in AT LEAST the top 5 greatest sports stories out there and for sure the top 3 come-back/underdog stories if not the best.

Football is such an unpredictable game

Here we are 7 years later and the mighty Leicester City have fallen down to the championship, football is a beautiful game filled with many emotion. Sad to see what has happened

And now, in the 2022/2023 season, they've been relegated. Truly sad times for the club. Even though I'm not a Leicester City fan, I feel terrible for them.

During the long re-cap of the season (which I was looking for) this doc did not put up the standings or the points as they went along. For me, needed context.

This is the greatest achievement in team sports history, the best story, and I was certain even at the time that I'd never live long enough to see anything even remotely comparable.

5000:1 odds on the entire league. I remember the exact moment where Nick Martino, on NBCsn, actually said that he thought Leicester would go the distance. Because why not? It was already Christmas, and Mahrez/Vardy were one of a kind, and he punched his card for the underdog.

I swear on my life that the moment they were confirmed winners - when Spurs drew with Chelsea - I felt an Earthquake. The whole story is just so special, and the encapsulation of why sport is so cherished in our culture.

A bunch of journeymen that nobody had ever heard of went over the oil and war billionaires, and did so for 9 months in a row. I fucking loved this season, and it makes me tear up every time I start remembering it.

This needs to be made into a hollywood movie with michael caine as ranieri, jackie chan as Vichai, zayn malik as mahrez, and Jamie Vardy as Jamie Vardy

I watch this at least once a year. I'm hopeful Enzo can continue the legacy established by Claudio. Up the Foxes!

This was Ted Lasso irl. A beleaguered foreign coach, an unknown club and players, even a star forward named Jamie! I followed the Golden Knights' Stanley Cup run in 2018, but I'll admit it doesn't compare to this. Unprecedented in every sense of the word.
