When John Lennon was young, he used to take his cat and put it on a high window sill. He would then close the window and the cat would be stuck out there, terrorized and meowing to get back in. John loved this cat, and this is how he showed it. These events would lead him to write a song that takes the cat's point of view, called "If I Fell". Great song.

I practice running on sidewalk curbs to teach myself grounding and balance and imagine in my mind I'm on a ledge like that... just watching this cats paws on the ledge so graceful without trepidation is amazing. The grounding and softness in cats that allows them to feel and act this way is pretty foreign to humans (well certainly to me, something I try to teach myself albeit in a much more rudimentary way).
